Le Feu sacré

There comes a time in every young athlete's life when he or she must weigh the value of training against the isolation from the activities of other youths. In this French movie, Sonia Petrova plays a young ballerina pondering this question. Her teacher is incredibly strict and stern, and the regimen she requires is all-encompassing. She explores the alternatives through the help of a hip young male student of modern dance, with whom she has a brief affair, but decides to continue with her classical training.

Heaven Will Wait

Mélanie, 16 years old, lives with her mother. She likes going to school, her friends, playing the cello, and she wants to change the world. But when she meets a boy on the Internet and falls in love with him, her world changes as she is gradually recruited by Daesh. Sonia is 17 years old, and she almost did something irrevocable to “guarantee” her family a place in paradise. These teenage girls might be called Anaïs, Manon or Leila, and one day they all might go some way down the recruitment process. But can they ever come back from it?

Salomé

After the lewd and frenetic Dance of the Seven Veils, and with the solemn pledge from the very lips of Herod himself that she could have whatever her heart desires up to half his kingdom, wanton and proud young Salomé comes before her king with an unreasonable demand. Beguiled by John the Baptist, and then scorned for the sake of his god, lascivious Salomé—encouraged by her mother, the vindictive, Herodias—commands that John be executed and his head delivered on a silver platter.
