Flo and Ken Jacobs

"I filmed Flo and Ken Jacobs in 2001 when they visited me in my studio (the School of Artistic Photography, Vienna). Our acquaintance, friendship began in 1974. Flo and Ken had witnessed the wild, avant-garde years of independent film in New York. They are practiced New Yorkers. Maybe that's why I thought I could be actionistic and surprising to them while filming: I took the contents of Ken's breast pocket. Ken got angry, as you can see. I hereby apologize in retrospect". The Street with No Name

After two gang-related killings in "Center City," a suspect (who was framed) is arrested, released on bail...and murdered. Inspector Briggs of the FBI recruits a young agent, Gene Cordell, to go undercover in the shadowy Skid Row area (alias George Manly) as a potential victim of the same racket. Soon, Gene meets Alec Stiles, neurotic mastermind who's "building an organization along scientific lines." Stiles recruits Cordell, whose job becomes a lot more dangerous.
