With the Atlantic ocean raging, the stricken freighter "Flying Enterprise" has broken down, is listing heavily and is at the mercy of the waves. Fortunately there is an US destroyer nearby it's from there that we see some of the newsreel footage included in this report. The only man remaining aboard is the Danish skipper "Carlsen". Airborne coverage now continues to illustrate the perilous nature of the start of their tow into Falmouth on the end of a 750ft tow-rope. It's all contemporaneous reporting so we don't know just what caused the incident, but we do have some audio from the Captain and some testament from the US Naval officers as to his courage and bravery.
