Zwei Frauen treffen am Meer aufeinander. Sie reden über das Mutter sein. Dabei treffen sehr kontroverse Meinungen und Geschichten aufeinander. Angelea Mrad möchte aus meiner Sicht mit ihrem Film wachrütteln. Aufmerksamkeit für ein Tabuthema wie Abtreibung erzeugen. Doch dies gelingt nur bedingt. Zumindest mir als Mann viel es schwer mit in das Leiden und die Sorgen der Hauptfigur hineinzuversetzen. Vielleicht auch wegen der Sprachbarriere. Ich spreche kein Arabisch und habe zu wenig Leute diese Sprache sprechen gesehen und gehört um die Intonation und die Mimik zu deuten. Und tatsächlich können die Untertitel eben diese beiden Elemente nur zu Teilen auffangen. Ich bin mit sicher, dass die Originaltonspur genau die Aussage trifft, die die Regisseur tätigen wollte, nur leider konnte sie mich durch die Sprachproblematik nicht erreichen. Ja, man mag es unfair finden, dass ich darum eine schlechtere Wertung gebe, liegt das Problem doch in erster Linie bei mir, allerdings spiegelt eine Filmkritik auch subjektive Meinung wieder.
