This is a movie of a theatre performance one-man show from New York, featuring Derek DelGaudio. Although he performs a couple of card magic tricks, this is more about the fascinating stories and exploring the idea of self. There are a couple of interesting illusions that made me smile and the finalé is heart-wrenching at times and some witchcraft. I loved the idea of the log book – there looks like some creative stories about how people imagine the show ending – and the parable of the blind men and an elephant was provocative. The live show must've been incredible, but even this movie version was an enthralling piece of art, storytelling and entertainment.
