Getting Along

"You've won more than you realize..."

Ava Callahan (Kayla Cruz) is merely a teenager fighting to get through the jaws of high school. Luckily for Ava, however, her two best friends, Willow (Sophia Scott) and Ethan (Benno Hennig), are with her every step of the way… that is until an impromptu student body election ends up pitting Ava against Willow, with poor Ethan stuck in the middle. Through her adventure, Ava has to grapple with the opinions of those around her: a local business owner and classmate who struggles with human interaction (Anna Lupien), a people pleasing young teacher (Ben Hauptman), a doubtful and pessimistic principal (Tim Cunningham), and a mother who can never find the right words to say (Nanette Hennig Fraser). Ava will learn that becoming her own person is not just about stepping out of someone’s shadow, but about making hard choices even when you see no light at the end of the tunnel.

A Dog Year

Jon Katz is close to burnout. He's a writer with writer's block; his wife has left for her sister's because he's emotionally distant; he rarely answers his phone. A kennel sends him a border collie that's undisciplined because of abuse. Despite a series of mishaps, Jon decides to keep trying with the dog, and he rents a dilapidated farm house to give the dog room to run. A local handyman refers Jon to a woman who might be able to help him train the dog. Reluctantly, Jon gives her a try. Is the dog the problem, or the owner?
