Catalyst is based on the real life story of lead actor April Morrow's experiences seeking treatment for a life-crippling eating disorder. Sam, An ambitious young woman coming to terms with the demons from her past, has finally agreed to accept treatment. On her first day at the remote treatment facility she meets many other girls all going through their own struggles, and her resolve is tested as she gets a small taste of the long road to recovery ahead of her.
