Like all Armenians in Mardin Derik, Demirci began his life speaking Kurdish, his native language, without knowing Armenian. He continued his life in Istanbul Samatya, learning Turkish at school, and when he wanted to go to Armenia, he continued his struggle to learn Armenian.
