A mysterious, dangerous beast tries to eat a young boy.
Although short and with very humble visuals, this short film excellently tells a frightening story, breaking free of the limitations surrounding its production. Ivy-Lexon’s directorial debut highlights the classic writing style he was known for and provides an interesting perspective to the film during its short runtime. The experimental editing style additionally serves to unsettle the viewer and I found myself disoriented, only heightening the action scenes of the latter half of the film. While I appreciate and understand the strange cuts and repeated shots, I must say that they can obfuscate the plot, although, upon rewatch, I was able to make more sense of the more confusing sections. Without giving away any plot details, I must emphasize how suspenseful and intense the short action scenes in this film are. It’s a quick watch and I suggest any horror or indie film fans give this short film a watch!
