The former live in large concrete houses, the latter in small wooden shacks. Sommai is the queen of the town. She works as a factory worker in North Jutland, but now she is back in Thailand, where young girls flock around her. They hope she can help them get to Denmark through marriage to a man from Thy. 'From Thy to Thailand' is a sequel to 'From Thailand to Thy', which described the terms of love between Danish men and Thai women in Thy.
