Two men in adjoining duplexes, good friends, are enchanted by the song of a bird. One buys a small harmonica and learns to play it; he keeps his neighbor awake. The neighbor buys a larger harmonica, and an arms race ensues; the instruments get larger, until it's a piano vs. a pipe organ, and then they start bringing in larger groups of friends until an entire orchestra is playing the 1812 Overture. The houses collapse from all this, atop the dueling orchestras, and on their way up to heaven, the man puts his small harmonica up for sale.

    These are the kind of neighbours you'd want to fire into space! Initially they get on fine, then a chirping songbird arrives and encourages one to buy an harmonica. Unwittingly, he ends up blowing into it whilst asleep one night to the chagrin of the other and next thing we know, it's all out musical war! His neighbour buys an even bigger mouth organ then there's a violin, a double bass, a trumpet before a French Horn manages to take the houses from their foundations. Kettle drums, cymbals then the coup de gras - a grand piano v a pipe organ! Surely they will call a truce now? Nope. Choristers arrive for a cacophonous sing-off that reduces all to rubble. The moral? Well apart from watch with the sound down, it seems to be to consider those around you and be thoughtful!

Musical instruments are the stars of a romantic fable set in the Land of Symphony and the Isle of Jazz, two islands separated by the Sea of Discord. The violin princess and the saxophone prince fall in love, but must meet secretly in order to avoid the wrath of their parents, the Symphony queen and the Jazz king. The queen finds the boy saxophone on her island, attempting to woo her daughter. She has him locked in the metronome, but the young lover manages to send a note - in fact, several musical notes on sheet music - that conveys the message that he has been imprisoned. The Isle of Jazz declares war by blasting musical notes across the sea. The only thing that can bring peace and harmony to the Sea of Discord is love.
