While this movies doesn't stand out from the big bunch of available animated movies, I still think it's nice and quite fun. Two alien brothers, brain vs. brawn, trying to save their family and escape from Area 51. Scorch is the typical "big hero that prefers to jump in and be heroic" while Gary is a smart but weak guy who tries to avoid danger wherever possible. This causes inevitable fallout between the two when trying to get things done. The movie is a nice-looking, family-friendly piece that, well, does just that: show how family can stick together to help each other. While Scorch's humor is mostly made up about how much of a "over the top" hero he is, including fanboy, fangirls and merch contracts, Gary is usually the scared, little brother that people make fun of by people not respecting his smarts. Contrary to many other "big, brawny heroes", Scorch is still a really fun and friendly guy, which was certainly nice to see in a stereotype like that. As said in the first part, this movies doesn't "stand out". It has no total moment of craziness, no huge twists and no big tear-jerker moments. But it has friendly and loving characters, and damn, the spaceships sure look nice and shiny! The cast besides the main characters doesn't get enough time to be really develop much personality, but the bit they have is nice, as well. It's a good movie if you just want some animated fun between getting your heart broken my dying family members in Disney or Pixar movies. 😁
