This is a wonderful little film if you want to see some quite decent (stock footage) action scenes featuring the old cars that high speed racers used in the 1920s and 1930s. Otherwise, though, it's a rather forgettable drama about a driver who loses his nerve after an accident kills his mechanic. He quits and takes to cab driving in an effort to support him and Jackie Searl, who is quite good as the young, disabled, son the accident victim. His budding romance with a pretty young journalist is also rekindled as he gradually sets his sights on getting back to the track again. James Murray and Joan Marsh are not really given much of a script to work with and the film is on a fairly predictable track from quite early on with some pretty bad editing.
