"Demon City" a Japanese crime action thriller that bucks the trend, in terms of the sort of entertainment, I've come to associate with Netflix. The defining aspect of this film is often visceral, violent action. That fact alone means this film probably isn't for everyone. Backing this up is a tale of organised crime, revenge and redemption, of a kind, that blends and contemporises tales of old martial Japan and the Samurai. Acting is decent too, rounding out what for me, was a worthwhile watch. In summary, is you like dark crime thrillers, with a mega ton of action and well choreographed fight scenes, with a distinctly Japanese flavour, this film is sure to please.
