It is often said and spread that Choqhequiraw is the second Machu Picchu: nothing could be further from the truth. Choqhequiraw, like the other Inca ruins, served a specific function, each according to its location and geographical importance within the Tawantinsuyu territory. We first identified Choqhequiraw as the most important site for astronomical observation during the Inca Empire due to the gigantic and colossal Ushnu (platform) built there. “Circumstantial traveler of life.
