It started off kinda strong. The opening premise was good and had promise, but, as you go, they expect the viewer to have knowledge of the "Underman" and give no set-up or backstory to it. The acting is strong. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone.

Pretty enjoyable ride for the most part. Started really strong with a mystery of what was going on that, to me at least, dropped the ball at the end. I'm always one for not showing the monster cause it's scarier that way. I'd say it is worth the watch if you like found footage movies.

Found footage films are always a bit tricky. You have to establish why the cameras stay on. And a body cam born by a police officer is as good of a reason as any. The characters in this movie aren't bad at all and you feel engaged with their plight. The directing is good and the scenery is spooky. Overall it isn't bad at all. The Nebulous antagonist makes the tension a bit more interesting, and the ending is a trope, but nevertheless a good one. I recommend this if you like found footage.

The Possession of Michael King

The film tells the story of documentary filmmaker Michael King (Shane Johnson), who doesn’t believe in God or the Devil. Following the sudden death of his wife, Michael decides to make his next film about the search for the existence of the supernatural, making himself the center of the experiment – allowing demonologists, necromancers, and various practitioners of the occult to try the deepest and darkest spells and rituals they can find on him – in the hopes that when they fail, he’ll once and for all have proof that religion, spiritualism, and the paranormal are nothing more than myth. But something does happen. An evil and horrifying force has taken over Michael King. And it will not let him go.
