This tv movie/play definitely hit on topics among religion and politics with a sprinkling of "becoming a man" mixed in there. Definitely sets the date of this movie quite a bit but some of the talk of religion is still out there. Then we get to King Penda, he is a creepy little thing. I love it. Just giving you that night terror realness in that one scene. This can be a bit of a slow pace in this very British horror (psychological horror maybe?) which many might not find entertaining or interesting. I dig the tone and camera work in this film.
