Documentary that tells the story of 10 children on the aftermath of 2014 between Israel and Palestine (in this case the paramilitary organization Hamas). It is a tricky situation being between the war two countries and two major Palestine organizations that fighted between themselves for the control Hamas and Fatah. The strait where the city is also was disputed between centuries between more powerful nations on the zone as Ottoman Empire Egypt being taken of the last by the British in the start of the XX century, till 1947 when a Palestinian state was to be instaured, but followed only invasion of Egypt and Israel again till 1993 when by a treaty it remained in Palestinian hands, with a population of 600 thousand people. So no good sides here - only civilian and military and paramilitary, being the most brutal part the fight between countries. It shows clearly the impact of this previous war in the mind of children around 10 years old, many injured, empoverish or that loosed parents and homes in the 2014 conflict. The psychological damage is intense and many think in joining paramilitary forces to avenge the fallen what enlarges the circle of war and hate (those 10yo are the 20yo youth of today's 2023-2024 conflict). So, a not too easy theme to discuss and documentary to watch - but really well done. Score: 8.0 out of 10.0 / A -.
