A horse called Brilliant is the only one who knows the location of a gold mine. When Brilliant's owner is killed, the trio known as the Three Mesquiteers (Bob Steele, Tom Tyler and Jimmie Dodd) are mistakenly arrested for the murder.

Cassie, an orphan who sings angelically in a small-town church, marries the organist, L. I. B. Bell, when he promises to obtain singing lessons for her. They go to San Francisco, where Cassie leaves Bell within the hour when she discovers his low nature. Answering an advertisement in the paper, Cassie gets a job singing in a mining town dance-hall. There she charms everyone with her voice, including Madoc Bill, who, having just won a large sum of money at faro, writes her a check for $10,000 and sends her abroad to study voice. Cassie soon becomes a successful diva, singing in the Grand Opera at Moscow, while Madoc Bill serves 4 years in jail for murder.

Lieutenant Crane of the U. S. Cavalry is assigned to clean up and bring law and order to a frontier town and area ruled by a gang of cattle rustlers. His only help is Molly Graham and her brother, Jim who run the town newspaper after their father was murdered by the outlaws.

Set in the Northwoods of Canada, Tom Mix stars as Donald MacTavish, the newly appointed head commissioner of the Hudson's Bay Company. This promotion infuriates MacTavish's rival Angus Fitzpatrick (Frank Clark) who wanted the job. Angus Fitzpatrick takes his anger and resentment out on MacTavish then sets out to get MacTavish fired.

As always, Jimmy Wakely plays himself, this time heading for Don Roberto Lopez's (Julian Rivero) ranch to track down a missing gold shipment.

This 1967 TV Movie featured the cast of the recent Lincoln Center and Broadway Revival of the classic musical. Starring Ethel Merman, who recreated her original 1946 role as sharp shooter Annie Oakley, the telecast co-starred Bruce Yarnell, Jerry Orbach and Benay Venuta. Running only 90 minutes and with no studio audience, this TV version was the most popular single musical special of the season for NBC. It raked in a total of 60 million viewers. The special retains a certain notoriety as a "lost" program. Seemingly the only surviving videotapes were erased at some point, with no copies found in the collections of Merman or composer Irving Berlin. Bradley Blatchford, returning to his father's ranch from college, meets Sybil Hamilton, who is coming to the ranch town as a schoolteacher. As the romance develops between Bradley and Sybil, Bradley comes upon a rustler at work and is about to shoot when he discovers his own father, who claims he is victim of a hereditary taint that he cannot subdue. Some friends, who observe the incident, rustle some of Blatchford's cattle, mark it with Sybil's brand, and accuse her of rustling and hiding some dark secret. She confesses that her brother disgraced the family, and when George learns of it, he is forgiven and is reunited with her.

Lambert, a young man out to make his fortune, is out west trying to sell a gadget that can peel potatoes, open cans, pull out nails and perform other handy tasks. He comes to a cattle ranch and runs into a group of cowboys eating supper. He impresses the cowboys so much that they make him their leader, and it's not long before he's hired by pretty young ranch manager Vesta Philbrook as her aide and bodyguard. "The Duke", as he's now called, falls in love with her and sets out to help her get rid of a gang of vicious cattle rustlers that are constantly raiding her ranch.

The division superintendent of the Montana Idaho R.R. finds it necessary to buy the property of an old settler in order to clear the right of way. The old man, with his daughter, has occupied the same cabin for years, and refuses to sell his holdings. The superintendent wires the general manager, who sends Broncho Billy, his assistant, with orders to get possession of the land at any cost. Broncho offers the old man an enormous amount, but is flatly refused. The daughter then leads Broncho into the yard, where he is shown the grave in which her mother has been laid to rest several years before. This is their reason for refusing to sell.

Monogram's Whip Wilson western series was in its final year of existence when Lawless Cowboys hit the screen. Set in the contemporary West, the film casts Wilson as a Texas Ranger on the trail of a crooked gambling ring.
