Dororon Enma-kun, also known as Satanikus!, is a Japanese horror-comedy anime and manga series created by Go Nagai. It's one of Nagai's most famous works in Japan, although not very well known in the rest of the world. In 2006, it would get a sequel/remake in Demon Prince Enma, which drops the comedy and becomes a full-fledged suspense-horror series. After the OVA was released, another manga version was released called Satanikus ENMA Kerberos by Eiji Toriyama. A remake entitled Dororon Enma-kun MeeraMera began airing in Japan in April 2011.

Ogami Itto is a master swordsman who holds a position of high power in the Tokugawa Shogunate. Zone Fighter, known in Japan as Ryūsei Ningen Zone, is a tokusatsu science fiction superhero television series. Produced by Toho Company Ltd., the show aired on Nippon Television from April 2 to September 24, 1973, with a total of 26 episodes, it was cancelled due to the oil crisis of 1973. This was Toho's answer to not only the popular Ultra Series, but the Henshin Hero phenomenon started by shows like Kamen Rider and Android Kikaider. The previous year, Toho had just made their successful first superhero show, Rainbowman. The series was also notable for its guest appearance by Toho's own Godzilla, as well as two other Toho monsters, King Ghidorah and Gigan. Supplementary materials published by Toho have confirmed Zone Fighter to be part of the Showa-era Godzilla series, taking place in between Godzilla vs. Megalon and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.

The Water Margin is a Japanese television series based on Water Margin, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. The novel details the trials and tribulations of 108 outlaws during the Song Dynasty. This adaptation follows Lin Chung and his clashes with the local government official Kao Chiu. The Water Margin is famous for its, sometimes obscure, but memorable philosophical quotes, such as "Do not despise the snake for having no horns,for who is to say it will not become a dragon?""

Kikaider 01, is a tokusatsu superhero TV series, and a sequel series to Android Kikaider. Produced by Toei Company Ltd., it was broadcast on NET from May 12, 1973 to March 30, 1974, with a total of 46 episodes. Its title in Hawaii is Kikaida 01.

University student Minoru Niijima is a timid young man who gives up on his girlfriend's older brother after being threatened by him. Minoru's father, Seiichi, is a tired office worker nearing retirement, and his mother, Reiko, is an ordinary housewife who is considerate of her husband and believes her children are well-behaved. Minoru's older brother, Shigeru, works as a bed salesman. He is a nuisance to Minoru, as he is rough and always brags about his work. Minoru's younger sister, Yoko, is a second-year high school student, but to Minoru, she still has the childishness of a middle school student. One day, Minoru is persuaded by his university friend, Karaki, to commit a sexual assault on a train. Unfortunately, the girl he chooses is a female student from a delinquent group, and he ends up being beaten up by the delinquent group. However, the new member of the group who appears before Minoru is his younger sister Yoko.

Fireman, known as Magma Man in some markets, is a Japanese tokusatsu television series about a superhero, the title character, who fights kaiju and other villains. Produced by Tsuburaya Productions, the show was broadcast on Nippon Television from January 7 to July 31, 1973, with a total of 30 episodes. This was also one of several shows Tsuburaya did to celebrate the company's 10th Anniversary.

Horror Theater Unbalance is a 1973 Japanese Anthology television series created by Tsuburaya and Fuji TV to air on the Fuji TV network on Monday Nights for 13 episodes. Originally started in production in 1969, it was shelved and took years for its airing debut to begin its broadcast, before production was eventually completed at the end of 1972. It was then aired on Fuji TV in 1973.

Ike! Godman is a tokusatsu tv series by Toho. It ran from October 5, 1972 to April 10, 1973. This was Toho's first Kyodai Hero. It was pulled from reruns on September 28, 1973 and it was replaced by Ike! Greenman. While on air Monday through Saturday, with only one or two episodes per week, each episode consisted of six parts and each part was five minutes long. The entire series ran for twenty-six episodes.

A human drama that unfolds around a Japanese restaurant-inn

Tetsujin Tiger Seven, translated as Iron Man Tiger 7, was a Japanese tokusatsu television series that aired in 1973, produced by P Productions. Unlike P. Productions previous series about cat based heroes Iron Man Tiger 7 is set in modern Japan. Takigawa Go gets the power to transform into Tetsujin Tiger Seven from an artificial heart and a magic pendent. To transform he utters the henshin phrase "Tiger Spark". Takigawa Go is played by Tatsuya Nanjô who also starred in Toei's Henshin Ninja Arashi. Go rides a Suzuki motorcycle with rocket boosters. When he transforms into Tiger Seven the motorcycle transforms as well to become "Spike Go". Spike Go can drive itself, coming to its master's aid when Tiger 7 roars. Tetsujin Tiger 7 was apparently P. Production's attempt at a Kamen Rider style series. They even hired Shunsuke Kikuchi composer of the 1970s Kamen Rider music to write the music for Tetsujin Tiger 7.

Nishiyama Satomi (nicknamed "Limit") is the daughter of Professor Nishiyama. One year she was mortally wounded during a plane crash. Her father was able to revive her, by making her a cyborg. As a cyborg she is gifted with “Miracle Powers” and several different accessories that aid her in solving different problems. Her red beret can be used as a radio to contact her father, and her boots have super speed. She is also able to transform with her pendant. Limit-chan also has a robot pet dog named Guu. Limit keeps her cybernetic powers a secret, as she fears being shunned by society. She keeps to herself, and sometimes keeps distance from others. Her secret is only known by her father and his assistants. In the final episode she reveals her secret to her teachers.

Edo wo Kiru (江戸を斬る) was a popular jidaigeki on Japan's TBS. It lasted through eight series, with several casts and settings.

Kanbei Hamidashi aka Tsukada Kambei was originally a direct retainer and head of a large group but could not fit into the organization and spent his days drinking and fighting. Such a Kambei receives an appointment as a secret inspector from Ometsuke Doi Masatoshi and sets out on a journey around various countries. A town girl Okon (accompanies him as a money watcher while Yoriki Ariga Tozaburo disguises himself as Senda to accompany him as an alcohol watcher. In addition to them, a "poverty god" disguised as a monk follows them as their watcher. Kambei punishes evil wherever he goes on his journey with his troublesome watchers.

Jumborg Ace is the title superhero of a tokusatsu SF/kaiju/superhero TV series. Produced by Tsuburaya Productions, the show was broadcast on Mainichi Broadcasting System from January 17 to December 29, 1973, with a total of 50 episodes. This was also one of several shows Tsuburaya did to celebrate the company's 10th Anniversary.

A young reporter, Kotaro Rai, is on the trail of a ring of gem thieves. But Rai is faced with an evil that threatens all of Asia, the Zensei Majin who had been in disguise. Luckily, the man's life is saved by a good spirit named Diamond Eye, who had appeared from one of the stolen diamond rings. From that day on the diamond hero entrusted the ring in Rai, and when he's in need of help, Diamond Eye would appear and protect him.

Super Robot Red Baron is a Japanese tokusatsu series that aired from April 4, 1973, to March 27, 1974. Its story was later retold in the anime Red Baron and it had a sequel titled Super Robot Mach Baron.

Kure Kure Takora—the main character of the show wants everything he sees and says "Kure! Kure!" all the time.

Fuun Lion-Maru, translated as Storm Cloud Lion Maru, was a tokusatsu series that aired in Japan in 1973. It was the second series in the Lion-Maru trilogy, and featured a third Maru-like character named Black Jaguar. This Lion-Maru is deemed "the Rolling Tempest Ninja Warrior." This series was popularized in Brazil as Lion Man in 1989, the only other country besides Japan to show the 25 episodes of this series.

Hanada Surgical Hospital in Kamakura has been in the family's female lineage for over 100 years. Each generation of directors has been an adopted son-in-law, including the current director, Hanada Seiichiro. Perhaps due to his position as an adopted son, he is unable to stand up to his wife, Kiri, daughter, Hideko, and sister-in-law, Tokuko, and is bullied by Chiyo, the former head nurse, nurses, and doctors. When Seiichiro suffers a cerebral hemorrhage, Yamada Daikichi, a surgeon in Tokyo who had a close relationship with Seiichiro's late father, comes to live with the Hanadas, bringing his daughter, Etsuko, a middle school student. Daikichi lost his wife about 10 years ago and has been raising Etsuko alone. At the request of his former teacher, Seiichiro, Daikichi is appointed acting director.

Noriko Shimura is on duty for the first time at Gyoda Hospital. The duty doctor is Yosuke Naoe. After 9PM Jiro Toda, a childhood friend of Noriko's, is brought in with a cut to his forehead from a fight. But Naoe has gone out for a drink, and can't be found. Both Toda and the ambulance crew become angry and demand to know where the doctor is. Naoe returns and seeing the commotion, he orders Toda be locked in a toilet until he calms down. Noriko is horrified by Naoe's attitude but is later impressed with his ability as a surgeon when treating Toda' s injury. This is their first fateful meeting...

Fables of the Green Forest is an anime adaption based on a series of books published in the 1910s and 1920s by Thornton W. Burgess which ran on the Japanese network Fuji TV from 7 January 1973–30 December 1973. It consists of 52 episodes and was created by the animation studio Zuiyo Eizo. The series has been aired in many countries outside Japan, such as Germany, Spain, Romania, Portugal, Venezuela and Canada. The release of the series into Canada was done through Ziv International in 1978.

Go! Greenman is a tokusatsu TV series by Toho in 1973. It ran from November 12, 1973, to September 27, 1974. It replaced Go! Godman.

Set during the Kyoho Period of the Edo Era (1716-1735), the city of Edo (now Tokyo) is under the terror of Okami Kamen (Wolf Mask).
