White Collar Blue is an Australian television series made by Knapman Wyld Television for Network Ten from 2002 to 2003. Starring Peter O'Brien as Joe Hill and Freya Stafford as Harriet Walker, the series dealt with a division of the police force working in the city of Sydney and the personal and professional tensions affecting their work and lives. In the pilot episode, Harriet is introduced as the new face to Kingsway station, transferring from the "White Collar" federal police to the "Blue Collar" New South Wales Police. Throughout the series Harriet must deal not only with her husband's brutal murder and the revelation of his adultery, but with learning to adjust and fit into her new surroundings. Joe is Harriet's new partner, and isn't exactly welcoming to her as an addition to the team. With two daughters from previous marriages, Joe needs to juggle his homelife, his dedication to the job and his relationship with Nicole Brown, played by Jodie Dry. The other cops at the station are Ted Hudson, played by Richard Carter, Sophia Marinkovitch and Theo Rahme, and each have their own secrets and problems to deal with. The series was axed after two seasons, however it can be found on cable TV both in Australia and overseas.

Kath & Kim is a character-driven Australian television situation comedy series. The series was created by, and is written by Jane Turner and Gina Riley who play the title characters: a suburban mother and daughter with a dysfunctional relationship. The series main characters consist of Kath Day-Knight, a cheerful 50-year-old woman, her self-indulgent daughter Kim Craig, Kath's boyfriend and second husband, the metrosexual Kel Knight, as well as Kim's estranged husband Brett Craig and her lonely, overweight "second best friend" Sharon Strzelecki. The series is set in the fictional suburb of Fountain Lakes in Melbourne. It is primarily filmed in Patterson Lakes. The series was conceived by Turner and Riley in the early 1990s as a weekly segment of the Australian comedy series Fast Forward. The skit was then developed into a full-series. The first series of Kath & Kim premiered on ABC TV on 16 May 2002, with three further series following, while a television movie, entitled Da Kath and Kim Code, was broadcast nationally on 25 November 2005. Kath & Kim has garnered much critical acclaim since its debut, winning two Logie Awards, for "Outstanding Comedy Programme" and the "Best Television Drama Series" award at the Australian Film Institute Awards. In Australia, it has become a pop culture phenomenon, and is a success with audiences nationwide. Internationally, the series has spawned a cult fanbase, and in 2006 it was announced an American version of the series would be produced, to air on NBC. Riley and Turner served as executive producers on the US version. The American version was also picked up by Seven, which debuted the program on 12 October 2008, just three days after its debut in the United States.

Young Lions was an Australian TV police drama broadcast on the Nine Network in 2002 and in Ireland on RTÉ Two.The series was based around the professional and private lives of four rookie detectives, the Young Lions, of South West 101, an inner city Sydney police station. CBBC currently have no plans for it to be re-aired, the last re-run being in 2008. In 2002, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awarded the first series Best Children's Drama. Jeopardy still airs in Australia on ABC3 and, as of 10 September 2010, ABC1.

Don't Blame Me is an Australian children's television program. In the United Kingdom the show is known as Don't Blame the Koalas. The series was originally screened on the Nine Network and has also screened on ABC3. The show is set in Waratah Park, an Australian wildlife park in the Ku-ring-gai National Park where the King family arrive from England to live with their Australian relatives after going bankrupt. Before they arrive they believe they have inherited a large cattle ranch, but on arrival are disappointed to meet a largely unprofitable, slightly run down wildlife park. Most of the comedy in the series is slightly surreal in a Round the Twist style way. Special effects and sounds are used to convey the characters actions mixed in with slightly speeded up footage when walking.

Short Cuts was an Australian children's television series that first screened on the Seven Network in 2001. The 26-episode series was aimed at teenagers. It was financed by the Australian Film Finance Corporation and Burberry Productions. The series was subsequently repeated on the youth-oriented network ABC3 in March and April 2011.

Flipside was a sketch and mockumentary comedy series broadcast late Saturday nights on ABC TV (Australia) in 2002. "Extremely popular amongst Australian TV fans in particular and comedy devotees in particular, Flipside offered a potpourri of zany sketches, music, monologues, and mockumentaries. The talented ensemble cast served up a bizarro world in which the normal was abnormal and vice versa. John Safran's Music Jamboree was a light-hearted Australian music documentary television series, hosted by John Safran for SBS television. The program was produced by Selin Yaman and directed by Craig Melville, Clayton Jacobson and a number of other directors under the production company Ghost of Your Ex-Boyfriend Productions in association with SBS Independent. It screened in 2002, and consisted of sketches and outlandish public stunts, typical of Safran's work. The series won two Australian Film Institute Awards; "Best Comedy Series" and "Most Innovative Program Concept". SBS followed the series up with the similarly styled John Safran vs. God in 2004.

Inside Business is an Australian television program broadcast on ABC1. Making its debut on 4 August 2002, it presents analysis of the financial world, including the Australian sharemarket, business activities and the broader economy. The program airs at 9:30 am on Sunday morning following Insiders, and is hosted by Alan Kohler. He also conducts interviews with members of the business community, profiles emerging businesses and entrepreneurs, and often presents his own commentary at the end of the program. The show was criticised by fellow ABC network program Media Watch for providing uncritical promotion of a floral company on its profile segment, a claim which the program denied. The issue is particularly pertinent as the ABC network carries no advertising. The show is now also shown on weekday mornings at 8:00 am on ABC2
