Round the Twist is a Logie Award-winning Australian children's television series about three children and their father who live in a lighthouse and become involved in many bizarre magical adventures.

Jack Shindo and Stanley Haggard are members of the first manned expedition to Mars, and on the red planet find a giant slug-like monster, Goudes/Gudis. Shindo is pinned by a rockslide and Haggard tries to escape in their ship but is blown up by Gudis. Suddenly a giant warrior, Ultraman Great, arrives and fights Goudes, but when Ultraman is on the verge of victory Goudes changes into a virus and travels to Earth where it mutates other creatures into monsters and awakens existing ones. Needing a human host to survive on Earth, Ultraman joins with Jack, allowing him to become the mighty alien when all seems lost. He joins UMA in order to help them battle the monsters.

Saturday Disney is a children's program hosted by Nathan Morgan, Candice Dixon & Teigan Nash which has aired on the Seven Network in Australia for 20 years 7 months, with the first episode going to air on 20 January 1990. Although, according to the hosts during the 800th episode of the show, they revealed the show premiered in March 1990, causing confusion of the actual premiere date. Up until 2008, on most occasions for the remainder of the morning Disney shows would continue to air on Seven after Saturday Disney. As of 31 March 2012, Saturday Disney airs on 7TWO. Saturday Disney was originally filmed at BTQ-7 from 1990 until 1999 when it moved to Seven's Sydney station, ATN-7. On 5 September 2009, the show celebrated its 1,000th episode. Saturday Disney celebrated 20 years on air in 2010.

Johnson and Friends is an Australian children’s television programme broadcast on ABC from 12 November 1990 to 25 December 1995. It was produced by Film Australia and lasted seven seasons. In the UK it was shown in the 1993 on TCC, CBBC, and then on UK Living's Tiny Living strand for under-fives. It was aired in the United States as a segment on the Fox Cubhouse, an educational children's program on Fox, from 1993 to 1996.

The Mahabharata is a 1989 film version of the Indian epic based on the history of India, Mahabharata directed by Peter Brook. Brook's original 1985 stage play was 9 hours long, and toured around the world for four years. In 1989, it was reduced to under 6 hours for television. Later it was also reduced to about 3 hours for theatrical and DVD release. The screenplay was the result of eight years' work by Peter Brook, Jean-Claude Carrière and Marie-Hélène Estienne. For the casting an international selection of actors was intentionally chosen, to show that the nature of the Indian epic is the story of all humanity.

Embassy is an Australian television serial originally broadcast by ABC Television from 1990 to 1992. Three series were produced with a total of 39 episodes. The program is set in the Australian embassy of a fictional South-East Asian country called Ragaan, located half-way up the Malay Peninsula, somewhere between Thailand and Malaysia. The dog which appeared in the series also played the dingo in the Meryl Streep and Sam Neill film, A Cry in the Dark.

Lateline is an Australian television news and current affairs program produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, airing weeknights at 10:30 pm on ABC1. The program has developed a reputation for head-to-head debates on current issues and political interviews. Lateline is followed by its sister programme The Business, which commenced on 14 August 2006. It has been labelled by the influential Crikey magazine as being, "an unmissable current affairs program that almost certainly creates more headlines in the next day's newspapers than any other TV show in the country." During the summer season, an ABC Late News update is shown in place of Lateline.
