Iwami Shinnosuke, a second-year high school student in Shimane, wanted to go to Tokyo as soon as he graduated from high school in order to become a musician. Shinnosuke was still playing the guitar on the roof of the school today, but there comes a transfer student from Tokyo, Kyoko, and a childhood friend from kindergarten, Oki Tatsuya & Izumo Hiroto. Kyoko is a transfer family and has no hometown. With one word of her, Shinnosuke's daily life begins to turn into a drama.

The raw, moving and painful coming of age story of a group of underprivileged teens from the tough, decrepit “Bney Or” neighborhood in the remote desert city of Be’er Sheva. Led by Johnny, who has just been released from juvenile prison, the gang decide to make money the only way they know how – selling drugs. Their small enterprise quickly develops into a burgeoning business, which they manage with much skill and muscle. As the word of their success spreads, established criminals want a piece of the action and the kids soon find themselves entangled in a turf was with seasoned criminals. Pushing drugs and pushing boundaries, the “Bney Or” crew try to change the reality of their circumstances while dealing with the consequences of their actions.

Covenant’s pilot episode – “The Promise” – will tell the story of a desperate middle-aged woman who’s fallen into early menopause and risks her marriage to give her much younger husband the child she can no longer conceive. Those familiar with the story will recognize this as the story of Sarah, Hagar, and Abraham; in which God promises Abraham many descendants, but a decade later his wife, Sarah, remains barren. As a result, Sarah offers up her servant, Hagar, to produce children on her behalf. “The Promise” will showcase a 21st century scenario, depicting what happens when we try to take matters into our own hands and manipulate life’s circumstances.
