North America: Growth of a Continent was an educational television show which was produced and broadcast by TVOntario in 1980-81. The series was narrated by Gordon Pinsent.

Material World was a Canadian television sitcom, which aired on CBC Television from 1990 to 1993. In its first season, the show was a conventional sitcom, shot on videotape with a laugh track, but in subsequent seasons the show adopted a comedy-drama format. The show starred Laura Bruneau as Kitty, a Toronto fashion designer. The cast also included Linda Sorenson as Kitty's mother, Jayne Eastwood as her office assistant Bernice, Chris Potter as her boyfriend Tim, and Angela Dohrmann as her roommate Angela. The show's original theme song was sung by Taborah Johnson. When it adopted the comedy-drama format, it used Bob Wiseman's "What the Astronaut Noticed and Then Suggested" as its theme music.

La famille Plouffe was a Canadian television drama, more specifically a téléroman, about a Quebec family that first aired in the French-language on Société Radio-Canada in 1953. The show was created to fill a void in francophone television in Canada. Whereas the English Canadian television branch of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation could broadcast English-language shows from American stations, the Francophone component of the CBC, Radio-Canada had to develop its own programs for French-Canadian viewers from the earliest days of television in Canada. This show was one of the few that helped to launch the téléroman genre of programming in French Canada, around the same time the first telenovelas aired in Latin America. The series was also broadcast live in English as The Plouffe Family, on CBC Television the following year and ran on both networks until 1959. The series was revived in the 1980s as a miniseries. The series was based on the novel Les Plouffe, by Roger Lemelin. It chronicled the daily life of a working-class family in the years following World War II. The family included patriarch Théophile, a former provincial cycling champion who had settled into life as a plumber, his wife Joséphine, a naive but kind-hearted mother who doted on her adult children Napoléon, Ovide, Cécile and Guillaume.

The Funny Farm was a Canadian television series shown on CTV during the 1974-1975 season. Blake Emmons was host of the half-hour series, which was derivative of the more successful American Hee Haw series. The first episode was broadcast on September 12, 1974 and only one season was produced. The programme continued to be broadcast on CTV for at least two seasons, and was still airing as late as 1976. The cast included Bruce Gordon, John Evans, Monica Parker, Yank Azman, Jayne Eastwood, Valri Bromfield and Linda Rennhoffer.

The Restaurant Adventures of Caroline & Dave is a 13-part docudrama Canadian television series which premiered on January 6, 2010 on the W Network. Produced by Mountain Road Productions, the series follows neophyte restaurateurs and couple, Caroline Ishii and Dave Loan as they struggle to realize their dream of opening ZenKitchen, a vegetarian restaurant situated in Ottawa’s trendy Chinatown. Episodes are currently airing on OWN Canada Fridays at 3PM ET.

All for Nothing? is a Canadian real estate and design television series that airs on the W Network. The series is produced by Mountain Road Productions and is based in Ottawa and its surrounding areas. The first season premiered on October 7, 2010, comprising 13 one-hour episodes and has since aired on Casa. In early 2011 the series was renewed for a second season of 26 episodes and Mark Burnett International obtained the worldwide distribution and format rights. The second season premiered on W Network January 3, 2012.

Dust Up was a Canadian reality television series produced by Paperny Entertainment and Prairie Threat Entertainment that aired on History Television. The series follows three crop dusters in Nipawin, Saskatchewan as they compete for work and mount sometimes-perilous crop dusting expeditions. Each plane is outfitted with four cameras to capture the action.

The Zimmer Twins is a Canadian children's website and broadcast animation project. The project was created by producer Jason Krogh and artist Aaron Leighton and is produced through Lost the Plot Productions Inc. A selection of the user-generated episodes is produced into broadcast shorts and air on Teletoon. Les Jumeaux Zimmer is the French-language version of the show and website. The Zimmer Twins is known for its unique format which combines online participation and broadcast delivery. Children are invited to create and share 1-minute animated episodes using a story editor and library of animation. The audience creates endings to short, professionally produced story-starters. Kids tell their stories by choosing actions, characters, props and backgrounds. They can also add their own dialog and on-screen text. New clips are occasionally added. The original Zimmer Twins website launched on March 14, 2005, with the show first airing on Teletoon in May. A total of 60 broadcast spots were produced and broadcast in the 2005/2006 season. By the end of the first season over 100,000 user-created episodes were created by over 50,000 registered members. A major revision of the site was launched July 1, 2006. A total of 120 broadcast episodes were broadcast in the 2006/2007 season and 32 more were broadcast in 2008. The site's population passed 200 000 on November 5, 2011.

The Morning Show is a Canadian breakfast television show airing on Global. The three hour program was originally shown only on Global Toronto, but was expanded by 30 minutes in early 2013. The expanded portion of The Morning Show is aired nationally on Global. The program is hosted by Liza Fromer, with Kris Reyes as news anchor, Rosey Edeh as weather presenter, Liem Vu as news/social media reporter, and Kimberly Fowler as airborne traffic reporter. It debuted on October 11, 2011, from a ground level storefront studio at the Shaw Media Building on Bloor Street in Downtown Toronto.

Dieppe is a two-part Canadian television mini-series that aired on CBC Television in 1993. It was based on the book Unauthorized Action: Mountbatten and the Dieppe Raid by Brian Loring Villa. The series chronicled the events that led up to the infamous World War II Dieppe Raid on August 19, 1942, which resulted in 3,367 Canadian troopers either being captured, wounded or killed. It was criticized for not being completely accurate, and overdramatizing the events that took place.

Fourth Reading was a weekly current events newsmagazine series in Canada, airing on TVOntario from 1992 to 2006. It was hosted by Steve Paikin. The show covered provincial politics in Ontario and national political issues affecting the province. Its name derived from the parliamentary convention that a bill receives three readings in a legislative house before becoming law; media coverage would therefore constitute a "fourth reading". In 1997, Minister of Education John Snobelen was being interviewed on a Thursday afternoon, for the show that would air the Friday night. During this interview, then-Premier Mike Harris announced a cabinet shuffle in which Snobelen became the Minister of Natural Resources.

Space Top 10 Countdown is a TV show on the Canadian cable television channel Space. It counts down the Top 10 characters of a movie genre and shows clips of these films/characters. It had 11 episodes in its first season with a second season of nine episodes. Kim Poirier and Jonathan Llyr took turns hosting the show.

Each episode is a one-time only original work made up on the spot. The shows are performed and streamed live from Toronto and New York City.

Puttnam's Prairie Emporium was a half-hour Canadian children's television series which aired for 30 Minutes on two seasons, from 1988 to 1990, on CTV before being syndicated on YTV. The series was created and produced by Bruce Edwards, and a total of 51 episodes were taped at CKCK-TV in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada beginning in 1987. The series was centred around the titular emporium, a long-standing general store run by eccentric owner Mr. Puttnam, whose daughter Ellen and grandchildren Katy and Mark have moved in with him. Although the emporium retained the look of an old-fashioned five-and-dime, there were "things there...you would not believe" and "new adventures all the time" which were often of a fantastical nature. The other-worldly aspects of the series were also reflected in the remainder of the regular cast, which included Ivan, a scientist who developed a Time Closet in the confines of the store; Caldicott C. Catt, a saxophone-playing cat who lived in a basket on the store's counter; and Benjamin, a talking beefalo head hanging on the wall behind the counter. The characters would also frequently travel to alternate dimensions to battle dinosaurs, zombies, and robots.

This Movie Sucks! is a Canadian comedy television series hosted by Ed the Sock, premièring on May 28, 2010, two years after Ed's Night Party went off the air. The show is similar to another former Ed the Sock series, Ed's Nite In. This Movie Sucks! features his Night Party co-host, Liana Kerzner and another MuchMusic personality, comedian Ron Sparks. Currently being produced and broadcast by CHCH-TV Hamilton, it is also being shown on CJNT-TV Montreal and CHEK-TV Victoria, as well as Movieola and Silver Screen Classics. A third season of This Movie Sucks! is under development. It will feature six new one hour episodes, as the cast stated that the original two hour format was "killing" them. Reruns will cease on CHCH-TV until that time, although they still will be played on other channels. New films will include Raiders of Lost Atlantis and The Wild Weng, a film that like the previously featured The Impossible Kid stars Filipino actor Weng Weng.

Spynet is a CBC Television children's show, which features Sam, played by Kim Schraner, as a spy operative for a fictional Canadian spy agency, the National Espionage Task-Force. It started as an ultra-low budget segment, of short length, but increased modestly in budget and length, to a half hour format. It aired on February 25, 2002 to 2004 and is directed by Michael Kinney The episodes, built to be educational with a plot, vary in their content-action ratio.

2001: A Space Road Odyssey is a 2001 Canadian television series that aired on Space channel. It documented a three-month journey across Canada in search for the paranormal. It was hosted by videographer Natasha Eloi and voiceover personality Steve Anthony.

Quentin Durgens, M.P. was a Canadian dramatic television series, which aired on CBC Television from 1965 to 1969. Set in Ottawa and the fictional community of Moose Falls, the series starred Gordon Pinsent as Quentin Durgens, an idealistic rookie Member of Parliament learning to deal with the complex realities of politics. It was one of the first hour-long drama series produced by the CBC, and helped to establish Pinsent as a major star in Canada.

Do It for Yourself is a Canadian television home improvement series hosted by Mary Bellows. It first premiered on CBC on September 13, 1982. The series ended on December 1, 1983 with 278 episodes. The program was one of the top run daytime shows in Canada and was sold in 1985 to a broadcast group which then aired the series on USA network, Lifetime and PBS in the United States.

Sheltered is a 4-part documentary Canadian television series which premiered on October 20, 2010 on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. Co-produced by Mountain Road Productions and Bossy Jossy Productions the series follows Derek Marsden, an Ojibway carpenter, as he travels the world to learn the ancient home building techniques of the world's Indigenous and traditional cultures. His journey takes him to locations in Africa, Central and South America where he lives and work with people who are managing to maintain their customs and lifestyle.

Mad Labs is a British TV documentary series for the National Geographic Channel. The show focuses mainly on "wacky" experiments and inventions that may prove useful in the near future such as urine-powered batteries or solar panels with olive oil being the key ingredient instead of silica. While the show features real-life scientists and their inventions, a regular segment called "The Test Department" appears numerous times in an episode wherein the show's own testers perform experiments of their own.

Cowboy Who? was an original 45 episode children's television series in Canada, which aired in a half-hour Sunday morning timeslot between 1990 and 1994 on the MCTV system. The show was a collaboration between then radio producer Jeff Green and the children's theatre group Salt & Pepper Theatre Company. In 1987, the Salt & Pepper Theatre Company had written and performed an 8-part series of 30 minute children's radio programs for Ottawa album oriented rock station CHEZ-FM on which Green had acted as producer and engineer. In addition, the theatre group had been involved with CHRO-TV, supplying children's theatre workshops in schools throughout the Ottawa Valley. When the Salt & Pepper Theatre Company were offered a regular slot on the station to help fulfill its CRTC license commitments for original local children's programming, they approached Green to collaborate on a series. In 1990, the team produced a pilot for Cowboy Who?, which gained them a commitment for a season of 13 episodes, and primary shooting began in the fall of that year. Two and a half more seasons were eventually created. The show spent several years in rotation on the MCTV stations. The show was notable for its technical production values despite its obviously low budget, its humorous social commentary, a deliberate post-modernist structure, and the cult following it developed during its run. It was further distinguished in that it was suitable for all ages, and had a broad demographic appeal: providing puppets, cartoons, and on-screen behaviour appropriate to a pre-teen children's program; an overt anti-authoritarian angle for older children; and subtle adult humor designed to appeal to parents who were watching with their children. In 2005, a collaboration between Jeff Green and "DVD-Lab" software creator Roman Voska on Green's "Stranger Still" production led to the publication of the first season of Cowboy Who? as a DVD set.

Fox Football Fone-in was a football telephone call-in program that was shown on Monday evenings on Fox Soccer Channel during the August to May Premier League season. However as of August 2010, the show was cancelled. The show was hosted by Nick Webster and Eric Wynalda, and Temryss Lane reads off the e-mails. Wynalda was an incoming replacement for Steven Cohen, one of the original hosts. The show was geared towards an American audience, and focused primarily on the Premier League, although Major League Soccer, the English and U.S. national teams, as well as other club and country competitions were frequently covered such as the UEFA Champions League, European Championship and World Cup finals and qualifiers. Viewers would call in to discuss football related topics. Most of the topics concern recent matches and current football news. Nick Webster is a supporter of League One side Leyton Orient, with his favorite Premier League team being Arsenal, though Webster plays more of a neutral role than when Geber, a staunch Liverpool fan, hosted the show. The Show was 2 hours in length and throughout the 2 hours, supporters from all over the country have their say by calling, e-mailing, or simply, texting Nick and Eric.

At CAD 2 million, it set a record expense at the time for a Canadian television miniseries. The series was exported internationally including the United Kingdom and France. Scriptwriting was led by Timothy Findley, supported by Claude Harz and Graeme Woods.

Rewind is a Canadian television news series, which aired overnights on CP24. The series repeated past newscasts from Citytv Toronto. Citytv and CP24 were owned by CHUM Limited until July 2007, when CP24 and the rest of the CHUM Limited properties were sold to CTVglobemedia, while the Citytv stations were sold to Rogers Media. However, the series continued to air on CP24 for one more year, and was cancelled in September 2008.

Les Voyages du tortillard was a French language series of animated shorts made in Quebec. The English version aired in Canada on the Global Television Network and TVOntario in the late 1970s, and in the United States on The Great Space Coaster in the early 1980s. The main character is a young boy named Simon who discovers a magical steam locomotive hidden in the basement of his apartment building. Acting as the engineer Simon uses the locomotive to travel on many magical adventures. Joining Simon every episode is Monsieur Globetrotteur, an old man who awaited the coming of the train for many a decade before Simon finally arrived. With Mr. Passenger is Mélanie, Mr. Passenger's cat who always rides atop his long stove pipe hat. Each episode also features a character named Stella, a girl with star shaped hair. Stella's character changes from episode to episode but she always has her star shaped hair.

The Real Estate Adventures of Sandy & Maryse is a Canadian television series which premiered on September 8, 2008 on the W Network. Produced by Mountain Road Productions the series is the story of two women, motivated by a desire for change and a love of home renovation, take on the challenge of flipping a house for fun and profit.
