Reluctant Nation is a Canadian historical docudrama television miniseries which aired on CBC Television in 1966.

Méga TFO was a French-language Canadian educational television show aimed towards younger children. It gave a chance to kids to phone in and participate in various games and contests as well. Occasionally, kids from French public elementary schools would be invited to the studio to participate with the hosts. The program was hosted by versatile commercial actress Stephanie Broschart and Alain Boisvert. It ran for 5 years. The show was renamed Mégallo in 2003 and changed its format with a new studio and different hosts. It still remains the only French educational TV series in Ontario.

Contact, l'encyclopédie de la création is a television series originally broadcast by Quebec's public broadcaster Télé-Québec. Each one hour program offers an up-close personal portrait of a thinker or creator. This new incarnation of the series is the brainchild of broadcaster Stéphan Bureau who initially created under the title Contact in the early 1990s. Each episode, which is usually shot over the course of two or three days, centers around interviews conducted by Bureau with the featured creator. The complete program is shot on location in settings that are meaningful to the subject.

CityNews is the title of news and current affairs programming on the City television network in Canada. It is broadcast as a local newscast in its own right on the network's Toronto station CITY-DT, while on the remaining City stations it currently airs only as the news headlines segment during each station's Breakfast Television morning show. Although City stations outside Toronto have aired local news programs in the past, most of these programs were cancelled in 2006, with the remaining news programming on these stations cancelled in early 2010.

The series premiered in Canada as Air Aces on January 7, 2013 on History and will also air on Military Channel in 2013. The show tells the stories of the most heroic airborne combat missions in history. The series uses real vintage aircraft and re-creates mid-air combat sequences. Featuring Spitfires, Lancaster bombers, and Phantom fighters and aerial stunt teams, the series dramatizes the exploits of the world's greatest Air Aces. The series also features interviews with the last surviving veterans and military historians and rare archival footage.

Eric's World was a children's sitcom, which aired on a number of Canadian networks in 1991–1996, and was produced by Cambium Productions, running for five seasons. The showed starred Eric Nagler, who had previously appeared on Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show. The show also featured Ashley Brown as Max, Michelyn Emelle as Andrea, Daniel DeSanto as Horace, Niki Holt as Kaley, Maggie Huculak as Marian the Librarian, and Nicole Lyn as Prue.

This Land was a Canadian television series, which aired from 1970 to 1982 on CBC Television. Evolving from the earlier series This Land of Ours, a documentary series about Canada's agricultural and natural resources, This Land expanded its focus to include environmental and conservation issues. Hosts of the show included Jon Hopkins, Phyllis Gorman, Laurie Jennings, Mary Chapman, John Foster, Mike Halleran and Don Francks.

Circle Square was a Canadian children's television series that ran from 1974 to 1986. The series was produced by Crossroads Christian Communications in cooperation with the Circle Square network of summer camps for children of Christian parents. Mixing human actors — both youth and adult counselors — with puppets in a Sesame Street-like manner, the series was set at a Circle Square Library. Each episode taught a lesson in moral values and Christian faith. The series was syndicated to Canada and the United States, and usually aired in a weekend slot on stations that also aired Crossroads' 100 Huntley Street. 1984-1986 reruns of Circle Square were formerly shown Saturday mornings on the Trinity Broadcasting Network until late 2005 or early 2006. In 2003 a pilot for a new version of Circle Square called Circle Square Network was produced by Crossroads, but was never picked up. CBC News: Country Canada was a Canadian television series broadcast on CBC Television, hosted by Reg Sherren. It was produced by CBC Winnipeg, and profiled rural and country life in Canada. Sandy Cushin was Country Canada's host between 1975 and 2000. Country Canada began in 1954 as Country Calendar, and was also produced by CBWT. On April 4, 2007, CBC announced the cancellation of Country Canada at the end of that season, after 54 years. The last broadcast was Sept. 16, 2007. In 2001, the CBC and Corus Entertainment launched a digital television channel fashioned after Country Canada, called Country Canada. Now the service is called bold

This Is the Law was a Canadian panel game show which aired on CBC Television from 1971 to 1976. It presented short, humorous vignettes which ran with musical accompaniment rather than a soundtrack, and challenged panelists to guess which law was being broken by the "Lawbreaker" character, who always got arrested at the end of the vignette. The vignettes were quite subtle, and more often than not, despite many guesses, the panelists were unable to come up with the law that was actually being broken. The vignettes alternated with depictions of actual court cases, presented in a series of still cartoons, in storyboard format, with narration. The narrator would end by asking a question about how the judge eventually ruled. The four panelists would each guess what the judge decided, and why, and each panelist would conclude by lighting up a large "Yes" or "No" in front of his or her seat. After all four panelists had guessed, the answer would be revealed. Paul Soles himself was the first show host for the initial 1971 summer episodes. Austin Willis became host from the regular 1971 fall season until the end of the series.

CBC News: Compass is a 90-minute local television news program based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada broadcast from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM each weeknight AT on CBCT-DT, the CBC owned and operated television station on PEI. It is the only PEI-specific newscast in the province, and has long been well ahead of CTV Atlantic's newscasts in the ratings. The newscast launched as a single 60-minute newscast, Compass, in 1986, with Roger Younker as its anchor from its inception until 2002. Younker became well-known and trusted within Prince Edward Island. The humorous and popular weatherman, Kevin "Boomer" Gallant, has also been with the program since 1986, and still remains. In about 1995, reporter Sara Fraser was brought on as co-anchor with Younker. But in 2000, as a result of budget-cuts, all local supper-hour CBC newscasts were replaced with CBC News: Canada Now, a hybrid national and local newscasts. Younker continued as sole anchor of the PEI-specific half from Charlottetown, with a national program following at 6:30PM local time, presented by Ian Hanomansing from the network's Vancouver studios. In 2002, with Younker's departure, former co-host and long-time correspondent Sara Fraser temporarily succeeded him for one year. In 2003, newcomer Bruce Rainnie was brought in as a permanent replacement for Younker/Fraser as the anchor, and brought his own unique style to the program. Sara Fraser continues as a frequent substitute anchor and correspondent. In May 2006, the local half of the newscast was renamed CBC News at Six: Prince Edward Island.

Girls of Latitude is a Canadian English language 30 minute documentary television special. Girls of Latitude premiered on November 13, 2008 at 9:30 p.m. EST on the Canadian specialty channel, MTV and on November 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. EST and the national television network, CTV.

Razzle Dazzle was the title of a Canadian children's program produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation between 1961 and 1966. The series was initially co-hosted by Alan Hamel and Michele Finney who were later replaced by Ray Bellew and Trudy Young. There was also a cast of characters who appeared in every episode, most notably Howard the Turtle, who was considered the star of the show. Howard the Turtle would tell jokes which he called "Groaners". Another highlight of the show was the secret decoder wheel which kids could send in to receive. At the end of each show a secret message was shown on the TV screen. Only those at home with a decoder wheel could decipher the message. Other recurring characters on the show included Percy Q. Kidpester and Mr. Sharpey who was known for saying "A knuckle full of nickels". "Spots and Stripes" was often a feature on the show, where groups of kids competed against each other. Among the regular features in the series was the serialization of a children's adventure series in the final five minutes. Initially shown was an Australian adventure series called The Magic Boomerang. This was replaced by the Canadian-made The Forest Rangers, that ended up as a series of its own.

CBC Prime Time News was a Canadian nightly newscast which aired on CBC Television from 1992 to 1995. For the previous ten years, the CBC's nightly newscast, The National, had aired at 10 p.m., and was followed by a 40-minute newsmagazine package called The Journal, which was hosted by Barbara Frum. However, following Frum's death in early 1992, the CBC took the opportunity to revamp its flagship newscast. On November 2, 1992, Prime Time News debuted with Peter Mansbridge and Pamela Wallin as equal cohosts of a package which replaced both The National and The Journal, combining news and Journal-style features into a single integrated program which aired at 9 p.m. The approach proved unpopular, both within the CBC and with network audiences. The National had been produced by the CBC's news department, while The Journal belonged to current affairs, and bringing the two departments together was fractious. As well, the on-air rapport between Wallin and Mansbridge was visibly tense at times. As well, because the program aired at 9 p.m., it was competing in one of the most heavily-watched timeslots on the commercial networks. Although The National and The Journal had faced commercial competition at 10 p.m., they had been much more successful at carving out their own niche because in that time slot, almost all of the commercial networks were airing drama series. At 9 p.m., Prime Time News had to compete with popular sitcoms such as Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld and Murphy Brown.

So Gay TV is a Canadian television talk show, which aired on PrideVision in the early 2000s. Hosted by Mathieu Chantelois and later by Jason Ruta, the program originally aired in 2000 as an Internet television series connected to U8TV: The Lofters, and was picked up by PrideVision when that network launched in 2001. So Gay TV mixed panel discussions and interviews with documentary and feature reports on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues and life in Canada. The show was nominated for Best Talk Series at the 2002 Gemini Awards.

Polka Dot Shorts was a children's television show from TVOntario in Canada, but which has been broadcast around the world. It was created, produced and story edited by Jed MacKay, creator of TVO's successful show Join In!, and veteran children's TV writer/producer/composer. Approximately 180 episodes were produced from 1993–2001, all of which were produced by MacKay and directed by Michael McNamara. The series won a Gemini Award from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television in 2000 for Best Pre-School Program or Series. The show is based on the earlier Polka Dot Door, and stars that show's characters Polkaroo, Humpty, Dumpty, Marigold and Bear in their own world. The characters are portrayed by "physical theater" actors in large costumes; Marigold's performer, for example, had a ballet and circus background. The actors' ability to convey a wide range of emotion with neither moving mouths or eyes was seen as truly awe-inspiring. Charles P. Schott was a Gemini Awards Finalist for Best Performer in a Pre-School Series, in 2002. Originally, each episode started with a human host who would introduce each episode to a gathering of children as she was about to read the story from a book. The stories themselves were dramatized by actors in large suits, playing the puppets from Polka Dot Door, while the reader provided the dialogue. A new character was added to the Polka Dot Door family - Polkaroo's pet, named Bibble. Although Bibble was only capable of making sounds that loosely resemble "bibblebibblebibble", he was able to bibble in various tones which indicated his mood.

Front Page Challenge is a Canadian panel game about current events and history. Created by comedy writer/performer John Aylesworth and produced and aired by CBC Television, the series ran from 1957 to 1995.

ZeD is a Canadian variety television program and website. The series premiered on CBC Television in March 18, 2002 and ran to 2006. Hosted primarily by Sharon Lewis and Ziya Tong, ZeD publicized creative works from Canada and other countries, including a substantial portion of material created by viewers and new artists. ZeD thus considered itself to be "open-source television." The website claimed thousands of users, and the series, while somewhat obscure, was nominated for several awards and influenced some US television. A music album, ZeD: Live Off The Floor, was also spun off the series.
