Exhausted from collecting wishes, Santa Claus Sascha takes a breather on a park bench. But the break is short-lived, as he has to go to an interview at KiKA. There, the meerkats Jan and Henry await him for a chat. When Santa Claus tries to contact Beutolomäus after the interview, something strange happens: Santa Claus suddenly finds himself back where his afternoon began – on the park bench.

In August 1968, troops from the Warsaw Pact countries occupied Czechoslovakia, bringing an end to Prime Minister Dubcek's reform policies. Many people in the West protested against the crushing of the attempt to create "socialism with a human face."
