Galapagos X will be trekking new territory— both literally and figuratively— as Big Bad Boo will develop an interactive virtual reality component that sees its audience explore different ecosystems in addition to creating a traditional television series and digital storybook.

Star Racer is a reality-genre TV show which originally aired on Discovery Channel Canada in 2006. It has been airing from October 2008 on Discovery's HD Theater, partly filmed from Circuit Mont-Tremblant. Star Racer chronicles the discovery and episode-by-episode elimination of some of the top amateur drivers in Canada over a period of 8 weeks. Racers participate in weekly racing events on an odyssey to prove themselves as the top talent. Host Yannick Bisson sets the stakes, and is the liaison between the drivers, the judges, and the audience. Eight racers from the world of Kart racing and eight drivers from other racing disciplines vie for the title of "Star Racer" and a career-making prize. The prize is a ride in the Formula Mazda Championship Racing Series where they will test their skills against professional racers.

Et Dieu créa... Laflaque is a satirical show on Quebec television that comments on current events by the favour of the show's main character, Gérard D. Laflaque, a stereotypical, family father and an announcer. Created by the cartoonist Serge Chapleau, he is broadcast on a weekly basis since 2004 by Télévision de Radio-Canada. There are currently seven seasons. Its title translates to "and God created...Laflaque" in English.

Animated anthology featuring four rotating cartoon segments: 1) The Mini-Monsters: Normal human twin siblings Sherman and Melissa find themselves in for a surprise when they are sent to summer camp for one year. 2) Street Frogs: Depicting the typical teen-aged hijinks of a gang of street-smart frogs named Big Max, Spider, Moose The Loose, "Honey Love" Loretta , and Dr. Slick. 3) Karate Kat: In a world inhabited by anthropomorphic cats, a private investigator catuses his karate to fight crime in his town which is usually in the form of gang leader Big Papa and his two lackeys named Boom-Boom Burmese and Sumo Sai. 4) TigerSharks: A group of powered-up human/sea animal hybrids consisting of Mako, Walro, Dolph, Octavia, Lorca, Bronc, Angel, and Gupp become involved in underwater adventures that has them facing off against villains like T-Ray and Captain Bizzarly. Despite the show title, the segments have no history in newspaper comic strips.

Time of Your Life was a Canadian television soap opera which ran production from August 1988 to May 1989. The series was created by producer Harry Jakobs and Maryse Wilder, Rhea Cohen and Maurice Thevenet. The series was shot in Montreal, in a studio with built sets in an industrial lot warehouse on Royalmount and The Decarie Expressway near Montreal's racetrack Blue Bonnets and Orange Julep. It was loosely based on the low budget Canadian independent feature Rebel High. The series debuted on October 17, 1988 and was aired right after the American soap opera General Hospital at 4pm, daily Monday through Friday replacing Bob Barker's The Price Is Right. Making it at that period Canada's first daily syndicated soap opera with all 130 episodes shot two weeks in advance to air date until completion of the first season cliffhanger.

Razzle Dazzle was the title of a Canadian children's program produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation between 1961 and 1966. The series was initially co-hosted by Alan Hamel and Michele Finney who were later replaced by Ray Bellew and Trudy Young. There was also a cast of characters who appeared in every episode, most notably Howard the Turtle, who was considered the star of the show. Howard the Turtle would tell jokes which he called "Groaners". Another highlight of the show was the secret decoder wheel which kids could send in to receive. At the end of each show a secret message was shown on the TV screen. Only those at home with a decoder wheel could decipher the message. Other recurring characters on the show included Percy Q. Kidpester and Mr. Sharpey who was known for saying "A knuckle full of nickels". "Spots and Stripes" was often a feature on the show, where groups of kids competed against each other. Among the regular features in the series was the serialization of a children's adventure series in the final five minutes. Initially shown was an Australian adventure series called The Magic Boomerang. This was replaced by the Canadian-made The Forest Rangers, that ended up as a series of its own.

In Opposition was a Canadian television sitcom, which aired on CBC Television in 1989. The show lasted only a single season. It starred Kathleen Laskey as Karen Collier, a rookie Member of Parliament, who represented the fictional riding of Moncton—Macquedewawa for the also-fictional Dominion Party of Canada. The show also starred Lawrence Dane as her party leader, Damir Andrei as a caucus colleague, and Jennifer Dale as Collier's neighbour Mary Margaret McCarthy. The show was the CBC's second unsuccessful attempt to create a politically themed sitcom, following 1987's Not My Department.

ZeD is a Canadian variety television program and website. The series premiered on CBC Television in March 18, 2002 and ran to 2006. Hosted primarily by Sharon Lewis and Ziya Tong, ZeD publicized creative works from Canada and other countries, including a substantial portion of material created by viewers and new artists. ZeD thus considered itself to be "open-source television." The website claimed thousands of users, and the series, while somewhat obscure, was nominated for several awards and influenced some US television. A music album, ZeD: Live Off The Floor, was also spun off the series.

Puttnam's Prairie Emporium was a half-hour Canadian children's television series which aired for 30 Minutes on two seasons, from 1988 to 1990, on CTV before being syndicated on YTV. The series was created and produced by Bruce Edwards, and a total of 51 episodes were taped at CKCK-TV in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada beginning in 1987. The series was centred around the titular emporium, a long-standing general store run by eccentric owner Mr. Puttnam, whose daughter Ellen and grandchildren Katy and Mark have moved in with him. Although the emporium retained the look of an old-fashioned five-and-dime, there were "things there...you would not believe" and "new adventures all the time" which were often of a fantastical nature. The other-worldly aspects of the series were also reflected in the remainder of the regular cast, which included Ivan, a scientist who developed a Time Closet in the confines of the store; Caldicott C. Catt, a saxophone-playing cat who lived in a basket on the store's counter; and Benjamin, a talking beefalo head hanging on the wall behind the counter. The characters would also frequently travel to alternate dimensions to battle dinosaurs, zombies, and robots.

House Hazards is a television series produced by Cineflix that premiered on HGTV Canada on October 16, 2012. The show is co-hosted by Francesca Garigue, Dan Dicaire and Brendan Callaghan. Each episode of House Hazards looks at an every day household danger. The hosts use state of the art technology and scientific experiments to explore the sometimes disastrous results of human error or general wear on a house.

The $128,000 Question is an American game show which aired from 1976–1978 in weekly syndication. This revival of The $64,000 Question was produced by Cinelar Associates and distributed by Viacom Enterprises. Originally, Viacom had intended to revive the series with the same title, but when it was announced that rival series Name That Tune would be adding a "$100,000 Mystery Tune" for the 1976–77 season, Viacom did not wish for their series to only have the second-biggest payoff and added an end-of-season $64,000 tournament to the format. Further hindering the show was that a planned deal with CBS owned-and-operated stations to carry it in major markets had to be scrapped because of the network-imposed $25,000 winnings limit for game shows. While the producers were able to get the Metromedia-owned stations to fill these gaps and the series did well enough to be renewed for a second season, the ratings were never high, and The $128,000 Question was not renewed beyond its second season.

OWL/TV is a children's educational television series that aired on CBC Television, and then later on CTV, from 1993 to 1994. Its focus is nature and science discovery, emphasizing to viewers how they can have an impact on their own environment. PBS, BBC, ITV and Showtime also aired the show for a brief period. Reruns of the show have aired on YTV, and CTV. A French translation of the series also aired as Télé-Hibou on youth channel Canal Famille, today known as VRAK.TV.

L’union fait la force is a French language game show airing weekdays on Radio-Canada. It is hosted by Patrice L'Ecuyer. The content of the show are primarily "quizzes" that pertain to words in the French language. The quizzes range from everything from guessing words all the way up to Pictionary-style games. The game consists of two teams, made up of four competitors and supporters behind them. The team represents the organization. The teams compete for points via the abovementioned "quizzes". The team that earns the most points wins a prize of C$1,000. Tuesday and Thursday editions of the show include a special round, La petite école, in which contestants answer questions written by elementary and secondary school students, with each question pertaining to a grade level.

Mad Labs is a British TV documentary series for the National Geographic Channel. The show focuses mainly on "wacky" experiments and inventions that may prove useful in the near future such as urine-powered batteries or solar panels with olive oil being the key ingredient instead of silica. While the show features real-life scientists and their inventions, a regular segment called "The Test Department" appears numerous times in an episode wherein the show's own testers perform experiments of their own.

A News is the name of local newscasts on the A television system in Canada. A News programming was produced in markets which were not directly served by a local CTV News service. The cable-only A Atlantic service in Atlantic Canada did not produce its own A News programming, but instead presently airs CTV News programming from CTV Atlantic, although the station did produce a local morning show, Breakfast Television and was subsequently re-branded to CTV Morning Live on August 29, 2011,. Due to the effects of the 2009 economic crisis The A station in Ottawa cancelled all A News programming in March 2009, but continued to produce a local morning show, A Morning which was also re-branded as CTV Morning Live on August 29, 2011. When A re-launched as CTV Two, on August 29, 2011, newscasts on the A stations were re-branded as CTV News and longer have separate identities, although the stations have retained the same editorial independence.

Strip Search is a reality television series, first broadcast in 2001. The series follows the search for a new troupe of male strippers from audition to the final live show. First broadcast in New Zealand in 2001, versions have been made in Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and the United States. The format is virtually identical in each series: men are invited to audition for the show, and during a number of tasks, including a boot camp, the numbers are whittled down until the final troupe perform for a live audience. The original New Zealand troupe was called "Kiwi Fire". In the same vein, the Australian troupe was called "Aussie Storm", the UK troupe was named "UK Storm", the Canadian group was dubbed "Canadian Thunder" and the American troupe was named "American Storm". The series was masterminded by Billy Cross, an Australian entrepreneur who had success on the Las Vegas Strip with an Australian troupe entitled "Manpower".

Fanfreluche was a French-language Canadian children's television show made in Quebec by Radio-Canada. The show made its debut in 1968 and ran for forty-six episodes until 1971. It starred Fanfreluche, a living doll who retold fairy tales and legends to the viewers. When the story went a way that displeased her, she would physically enter it to "fix" the ending which sometimes put her in a perilous situation. The character of Fanfreluche had its debut in another Radio-Canada children's show called La Boîte à surprise. From the character in this show, prominent Montreal businessman and Thoroughbred horse breeder Jean-Louis Lévesque named one of his fillys Fanfreluche. Believed to have used the name to please a grandchild, Levesque's filly became a Canadian and United States champion racehorse in 1970.
