The show airs weekdays on TVO at 8 and 11 pm. Content is available on demand online at tvo.org and through mobile media. During the 2007 Ontario provincial election campaign, The Agenda provided extensive coverage, with leaders discussing and debating their parties' platforms, candidates from across the province talking about concerns in their regions and the people of Ontario acting as citizen correspondents, speaking up about issues in their home town. The Agenda plans a similar exercise for the 2011 Ontario provincial election.

Power & Politics is a Canadian television news program focused on national politics that debuted October 26, 2009 on CBC News Network. Hosted by Evan Solomon Monday to Thursday, the show airs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Since fall 2011, other CBC political correspondents have hosted on Fridays, as CBC Radio One's The House, now also hosted by Solomon, is recorded on Fridays.

Howie Do It is a Canadian/American comedy television series, co-commissioned by Global and NBC, that stars Howie Mandel. The series features practical jokes in the vein of earlier shows like Just for Laughs, Punk'd or Candid Camera – the supposed twist being that the cameras are in the open, not hidden as in the other series. Mandel appears, often incognito, in several of the jokes. After the big reveal, either Howie or one of his assistants then delivers the line "This is Howie Do It!" The theme song to the show is a remix of "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan. The show premiered on NBC and Global TV on January 9, 2009. Mandel also served as an executive producer of the series, along with Scott Hallock and Kevin Healy of Spy TV, and Morgan Elliot and Michael Rotenberg. Six episodes were ordered. The studio segments were filmed at Caesars Windsor August 24, 25 and 26, 2008. Tickets to the tapings were given out to new members of Harrah's Total Rewards program at the casino. The head of NBC's unscripted department, Craig Plestis, said that NBC's choice to share the costs of the series with Global was part of "trying to figure out new ways to do business as shows become more expensive."

Studio 2 was a daily current affairs newsmagazine on TVOntario in Ontario, Canada. The show won several Gemini Awards, and was hosted by Steve Paikin and Paula Todd, and first aired in 1994. TVOntario announced the program's termination on June 29, 2006. The final episode aired on June 30, and was replaced that fall with a new series hosted by Paikin, The Agenda. Rather than a newscast style, Studio 2 tackled certain current news stories affecting many Canadians with a focus often on Ontario. Regular topics on the show included healthcare, federal politics, provincial politics, terrorism, foreign affairs, the environment, the arts and many others. The show usually performed a deep analysis, often with open discussions among experts or even interviewing specific figures involved in the issues. Also included were arts and current affairs documentary segments, live performance, and in-depth personal interviews.

On The Rocket is a monthly television talk show that is aired on CP24 in Toronto, Canada. It broadcasts live on a chartered TTC streetcar. The program was first hosted by Toronto Transit Commission chair and Toronto City Councillor Adam Giambrone. During the January 21, 2010 broadcast Giambrone revealed that he would no longer be the host due to the upcoming municipal election. At the time of that broadcast a new host had not been named, and the future of the program is unknown. In March 2010, Giambrone remained the host of On The Rocket and it continues to air on CP24. The route the streetcar takes varies and viewers are invited to get on and off for a free ride and to participate in the live broadcast. The streetcar departs from the McCaul loop on McCaul Street, north of Queen Street at 8 p.m. EST on the night of the broadcast. The program first aired on November 5, 2009.

Sugar is a TV cooking show shown on Food Network Canada hosted by Canadian pastry chef Anna Olson. The official show description reads "Anna Olson satisfies sweet cravings with great dessert recipes and guides viewers from making to plating with presentation ideas to dress up any dessert." Premiered in October 2002, Sugar is a half-hour show which specializes in desserts. Each episode has a theme ingredient. Host Anna Olson makes one simple dessert with the theme ingredient in the first part of the show. During the second and third part, she creates a more elaborate or decadent dessert with the same ingredient. Finally, during the last few minutes of the program called the "Switch-Up", Anna re-invents the first dessert with a few tricks and turns it into something more special. Sugar aired for five seasons on Food Network Canada and its 151 episodes has been syndicated in 40 countries.

The S and M Comic Book was a Canadian series of four sketch comedy specials, that aired on CBC Television in 1985 and 1986. Starring Greg Malone and Tommy Sexton, the series evolved out of the pair's touring show Two Foolish to Talk About. The series won several Gemini Awards in 1986. Instead of expanding Comic Book into a permanent series, Malone and Sexton worked with their colleagues Mary Walsh, Andy Jones and Cathy Jones to develop the CODCO series, which began airing in 1987.

CBC News: Sunday was a weekly television newsmagazine series in Canada, which aired on Sunday mornings on both CBC Newsworld and CBC Television. The program first went on the air in February 2002, offering exclusive and headline news, behind-the-scenes reports, in-depth interviews with world leaders and newsmakers such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ralph Nader, Kofi Annan and the Dalai Lama. The program, hosted by Evan Solomon and Carole MacNeil, focused on ethics, spirituality and media accountability. It covered current news stories, but also examines how these stories are covered by the media. After eight seasons on air, on May 31, 2009, CBC News: Sunday aired its final episode in front of a live audience in the CBC Atrium. The show has won more than 40 national and international awards and nominations: "Deadline Iraq: Uncensored Stories of the War," a gripping documentary about what the public doesn't see from the front in Iraq, won the Red Cross Prize at the Monte Carlo TV Festival; “Beyond Words: Photographers of War” won Best Short Feature, National at the 2005 Gabriel Awards, as well as a Bronze Medal at the 2005 Columbus International Film & Video Festival, and a 2005 Gemini Award Nomination for Best Magazine Segment, while Evan Solomon won the 2005 Gemini for Best Host Interviewer.

Beyond Reason was a television quiz show seen throughout Canada from 1977 to 1980. Programmes featured a group of experts from various paranormal specialties attempting to find the identity of hidden visitors, resembling a combination of Front Page Challenge, What's My Line? and The Amazing World of Kreskin. This CBC Television series was recorded in Winnipeg. Hosts for most of the series run were journalist Allen Spraggett and CBC announcer Bill Guest. These hosts were replaced by Paul Soles in the show's final episodes.

The Buzz was a Canadian comedy television series that aired on The Comedy Network. The show was hosted by Morgan "Mista Mo" Smith and Daryn Jones. The show originally aired in the mid-90s as a community channel show on Rogers Television before getting a network deal in 2000. In 2001, the show won a Gemini Award in the "Best Writing in a Comedy or Variety Program or Series" category. The 2003 season saw them take the show to New York, London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The show ended in 2005. Created in Toronto, the show found a place on the Comedy Network when The Tom Green Show left to MTV. The show uses sketch comedy, non-sequiturs and guerrilla comedy. The two hosts, Daryn Jones, a geeky theatre major, and Mista Mo, an "almost real rapper" often riff on the racial tensions between them.

49th & Main is a CBC Television soap opera. It premiered on July 18, 2006 at 2:30 P.M., and ran for 6 episodes on a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday scheduling setup, with the final episode having aired on July 27. The series is set in the Punjabi Market district of Vancouver, British Columbia. Much like ITV's Coronation Street, 49th & Main focuses on the interactions of the businesspeople, merchants and residents of the multicultural area. In particular, the series revolves around Dr. Cedric Ferreira, a Kenyan-born Indian with an English upbringing, who decides to bring his young son to Canada and start a medical practice. The cast of 49th & Main includes Cedric de Souza, as well as Rekha Sharma, Agam Darshi, Brandon Jay McLaren and William B. Davis. Davis is also the co-writer of the first six episodes and directed three of them, with the other three directed by Tom Braidwood. The six episodes were taped in Vancouver in March and April 2006, and an initial pilot was shot in early 2005. Executive Producers of the series are William Wallace Gray and William B. Davis. Creators are Barbara Ellison & William B. Davis. 49th & Main is one of two CBC daytime dramas scheduled for 6-episode runs in July with the potential of a future order from the CBC for a full-scale on-going series. The other one was North/South, which premiered on July 4 in the 2:30 P.M. timeslot.

Fromage was an annual one-hour special produced by the Canadian MuchMusic cable channel. Originally hosted by songwriter Christopher Ward, beginning in the late 1980s, Fromage pays "tribute" to music videos that are considered the worst or cheesiest of the year by MuchMusic staff.

We're Experiencing Technical Difficulties is a show that was produced and broadcast by MuchMusic. The show featured a mix of comedy, animation, sketches and fake interviews derived from pop culture. Each episode was about 12 minutes long, but MuchMusic aired about 2 episodes per half hour. WETD also made fun of celebrities, censors words in videos/interviews that shouldn't be and jokes about sexual content. There were also fake Much program promotions, such as "Wake Up Much", a "live" morning show with a relatively sleepy host. The show had a connection with Video on Trial, because it got mentioned on one of the episodes on Video on Trial. Both programs were vaguely similar in terms of its highly sarcastic tone and style. It first aired in September 2008 as a replacement for Stars Gone Wild after it was cancelled, but WETD also fared poorly in the ratings with a lot of negative audience reaction voiced on the MuchMusic message boards.

The Family Restaurant is a Canadian reality television series, which aired on Food Network Canada between 2005 and 2009. Profiling family-owned restaurants in the Edmonton, Alberta area, the show's first two seasons focused on the Psalios family chain of Greek restaurants, while its third and final season focused on the Quon family chain of Chinese restaurants. The Quon family were later featured in their own spinoff series, The Quon Dynasty, on Citytv. The series was produced by Anaid Productions and distributed by Picture Box Distribution. The Quon family season was also carried by WE tv in the United States in 2011.
