In ancient times, the immortal Fuxi, the King of Humankind, desired to create a paradise called the Eternal Country in the human world. The elders of the Pangu clan intervened by imprisoning Yaochi Shengmu in Heaven while Fuxi remains in the human world. Fong Tin-yau and Ma Siu-ling are living happily in Heaven after their success in 2001. However, in 2004, Yaochi Shengmu breaks free and introduces a deadly virus to wipe out the entire Pangu clan.

Lewis Black's Root of All Evil is an American television series that premiered on March 12, 2008, on Comedy Central and was hosted by comedian Lewis Black. The series producer was Scott Carter from Real Time with Bill Maher and the writer was David Sacks from The Simpsons. Sometimes there were pre-recorded video segments directed by supervising producer Michael Addis. Lewis Black's Root of All Evil is formatted as a mock trial acted in deadpan. Black presided over two opposing people or issues; and guest comedians acted as lawyers/advocates arguing that their client/Evil is the Root of All Evil. The series ended on October 1, 2008, with a total of 18 episodes. The series' cancellation was confirmed by Lewis Black in September 2009. The entire first season of Lewis Black's Root of All Evil was released on DVD in the United States on September 30, 2008. The remaining episodes from season two are not currently available on DVD.

Kazuki, a Japanese high school student, is dragged into the world of fan comics along with his friend Mizuki by the scheming Taishi. Holmes on Homes is a Canadian television series featuring general contractor Mike Holmes visiting homeowners who are in need of help, mainly due to unsatisfactory home renovations performed by hired contractors. The series originally aired on Home & Garden Television in Canada, and also on several other Alliance Atlantis networks in Canada, as well as in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and on HGTV in the United States. It had previously aired in the US on Discovery Home until that channel was rebranded Planet Green on June 4, 2008. It was once the highest-rated show on the Canadian HGTV, with shows airing upwards of 20 times a week at the peak of its popularity. It has won the Gemini viewers' choice award, a testament to the popularity of the show in Canada. Originally, Holmes on Homes ran as a series of 30-minute episodes, but moved to a one-hour format midway through the third season due to popular demand. This drama gets totally hilarious in many scenes where Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk's combination comes out as refreshingly cute. Jang Hyuk plays a rich and proud man who inherits his father's business (Snowy Cosmetics) but is later betrayed by his own cousin and uncle leading to his downfall. On the other hand, Jang Nara plays a girl that he meets who help him pick up the pieces in his life, from defeat to success.

I Love You, Don't Cry is a family South Korean family drama series broadcast by MBC in 2008-2009 starring Lee Yoo-ri, Lee Jung-jin and Oh Seung-hyun. The daily drama aired on MBC on Mondays to Fridays at 20:15 from November 17, 2008 to May 22, 2009 for 132 episodes.
