Inspectors

In Inspectors, we get to follow the inspectors of the Norwegian Food Safety Authority up close for the first time, in a dramatic and unvarnished encounter with a reality that most of us never get to know. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority is one of Norway's most important, and least known, emergency response agencies. They are responsible for everything that goes in and on our bodies, such as food, drinks, cosmetics and creams – in addition to animal welfare in Norway. They close restaurants, inspect food factories and stop dangerous imports at the border. Sometimes they have to kill animals that are illegally smuggled into the country, and respond when farms are affected by infectious diseases. Through eight episodes, Inspectors shows the people who make the toughest decisions when safety, health and lives are at stake.

When the state adopts

In 2020, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced that more Danish children should be adopted. Since then, the number of adoptions has increased and more experts are now warning against the treatment we are exposing the children to in several of the cases. DR follows a series of adoption cases, where the children move several times and in the worst case can wait for more than three years before they end up with the adoption family. “Denmark is going to give an apology for what is going on,” assesses a psychological expert.

93 Kang Young-hyun

A project created to help Young K make up for the childhood memories he missed out on. Because he moved frequently throughout his school years (spending 5th grade in Vancouver, 6th grade in Ilsan, 7th grade in Toronto, transferring to another school in 8th grade, attending high school in Toronto for 9th and 10th grade, and then returning to Korea), he says he doesn't have many childhood memories with friends. In this series, he experiences the things he never got to do back then together with guests.

Dealen Met Coke

After "Level 4" and "The Prosecutor's Office," Eric Goens now pulls out all the stops in the gripping new documentary series "Dealing with Cocaine." For eight weeks, he explores every corner of the international drug trade. He interviews drug criminals in Ecuador and Colombia, but also rides along with the Belgian police. Day and night, they try to get a handle on the illegal trade, which is becoming increasingly professional and violent in our country. It's a constant chase after kingpins in the drug world, who still too often slip through the cracks. Because the drug problem is – unfortunately – no longer a distant issue. Exploding grenades in residential areas, shootings in squares among playing children… How did it come to this in a country like Belgium? Are we really heading towards a narco-state? The series provides a serious wake-up call and exposes how complex, dangerous, and dehumanizing the circuit behind a single line of cocaine truly is.
