Venetian architect and historian Francesco da Mosto sets out from Venice to cross the Mediterranean - following in the wake of his ancestor, the explorer Alvise da Mosto - to discover the cities and islands where Western civilization was born. Along the way he takes in spectacular ruins, like the Acropolis in Athens and the Lycian Tombs in Turkey; sacred sites like the monasteries of Mount Athos and the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul; and beautiful Dubrovnik (destroyed and rebuilt in the last decade). Ancient history and bygone legends intertwine as Francesco visits these wonderful ancient sites, bringing the past vividly to life, and taking viewers on a thrilling cultural odyssey.

Rachel Allen: Bake! is an Irish cookery television show presented by Rachel Allen and broadcast on RTÉ One each Wednesday at 7:30pm. The first episode aired on October 15, 2008. Each episode was made available to watch online for 21 days after original transmission. In the United Kingdom, the show airs from time to time on the Good Food channel, it has also become part of the Saturday morning schedule on BBC One. In the United States, it airs on Cooking Channel.

As part of the later rebrand that took place at the start of 2009, LK Today was rebranded as GMTV with Lorraine, to coincide with GMTV Today changing back to GMTV. Lorraine moved for the first time into the main GMTV studio, instead of having her own part of the studio to host from.

Skate Nation is a British children's television programme presented by Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes broadcast by CBBC on BBC Two in 2009. It was an eleven-part series in which fourteen teams of roller skaters competed for a trip to the World Games in Taiwan. Each team consisted of three children aged 7 – 13 and an adult. The teams competed in one of two heats to reach the final ten, who attended a skate camp. From there eight team progressed to the studio shows, where each week one team was eliminated. Their performances in the stadium were judged by a panel consisting of Kevin Adams, Camilla Dallerup, and Asha Kirkby, as well as the studio audience. The two lowest-placed teams had to take part in the skate showdown, after which the judges voted to save one team. The eleventh show showed the series winners in Taiwan and also the Skate Nation "Oscars". This was broadcast some time after the original series in January 2010.

Cricket AM is a Saturday-morning cricket-based television programme broadcast in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports 1. It began broadcasting in May 2006, and is largely based on its successful football-related counterpart Soccer AM, as a replacement during the football off-season. The show lasts for 90 minutes and for the 2010 season is presented by Matt Floyd, who has taken over from Simon Thomas, and Sarah-Jane Mee, the latter taking over from Anita Rani. During the English Cricket Season either an England test or game or a County Cricket game follows the programme.

Seven Ages of Britain is a 2003 British documentary television series. The seven part series was shown by Channel 4 between 15 November and 20 December 2003.

Ty's Great British Adventure is a British television reality show on Home featuring Ty Pennington of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition fame.

Teen Big Brother was a United Kingdom spin off of the popular television programme Big Brother in which teenagers inhabited the house. The show was presented by Dermot O'Leary.

The Colour of Money was a British game show, broadcast on ITV between 21 February and 11 April 2009. The programme was produced by 12 Yard, and hosted by Millie Clode and Chris Tarrant. The format was originally devised by Paul Brassey and Daniel Moody in 2006, and developed by Jim Cannon, Andy Culpin, Samuel Pollard and David Young. A total of eight episodes were produced but only seven of these were broadcast, due to poor viewing figures. Subsequently, the programme was axed by ITV on 12 June 2009. The game-show later survived as a board game manufactured by games-giant Drummond Park.

Not Forgotten is a British television documentary series made by Wall to Wall for Channel 4. The series examines the impact on British society of the First World War. It is written and presented by Ian Hislop. The series' tie-in website was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Interactivity in 2006. The original series comprised four episodes, broadcast in November and December 2005: ⁕Commemoration, examining the movement for war memorials following the First World War, and the continuation of this tradition for subsequent conflicts. ⁕Class, looking at the way the British class system was reflected and challenged by the creation of a mass army. ⁕Women, discussing how women's roles and expectations in society changed as a result of the war. ⁕Survivors, examining how society dealt with those who returned from the war injured and disabled. A tie-in book, Not Forgotten, written by Neil Oliver, was published by Hodder & Stoughton. Three additional episodes were subsequently produced: ⁕Shot at Dawn, examining the stories of men shot for desertion and cowardice. ⁕The Men Who Wouldn't Fight, challenging the stigma attached to conscientious objectors. This episode featured, amongst others, the story of Ronald Skirth, who became a conscientious objector while serving in the Royal Artillery.

Sport Mastermind is a British television quiz show first broadcast by BBC television in July and August 2008. The show is a spin-off of the long running quiz show Mastermind and is themed on sport. Veteran TV sport presenter Des Lynam was the host and question-master, with the show itself titled Des Lynam's Sport Mastermind in many TV listings.

In the show, contestants are required to fit though holes in a polystyrene wall that moves towards them Produced by Fremantle Media, the show began airing on the Nine Network from 6 August 2008.

Maria and Roofi or D! and Rafael team up with some well known Cartoon Network characters to become the 'A-team of dance moves'. If a kid needs to learn new moves, they can call the team! They will then rush to the rescue in the CN Van.

James Wong, an ethnobotanist, presents the series and takes the view that people should start making their own remedies in order to save money and feel healthier plus providing simple remedies to everyday ailments. Wong tries out his remedies on members of the public in order to demonstrate the beneficial effects of natural remedies, adding appropriate safety warnings. He is careful to stress that viewers should always seek medical advice before trying natural medicines, and in discussing the outcomes of treatment always states "It's not a clinical trial..." and acknowledges that results might be attributed to a placebo effect.
