No Opportunity Wasted is a television series that premiered on the Discovery Channel on October 3, 2004. It was created by Phil Keoghan, better known as the host of the reality show on CBS entitled The Amazing Race. In the series, 26 contestants are given 72 hours, $3,000 and the opportunity to fulfill a long-held dream or desire. The show has since spawned a book co-authored by Phil Keoghan, which encourages readers to create a 'list for life.' The book helps the reader map out goals and develop plans to make those ambitions possible. A version was also shot exclusively for the New Zealand market, reflecting Phil Keoghan's fondness for his native country. Also hosted by Keoghan, the show proceeded on much the same premise but with New Zealand contestants. It premiered on New Zealand's TV2 on Sunday November 12, 2006. It was sponsored by New Zealand Vodafone, whose slogan is Make the Most of Now. A third version of the series premiered on CBC in Canada on October 3, 2007. Ten thirty-minute episodes were filmed, hosted by Canadian adventurer Bruce Kirkby following a May 2007 casting tour through the country by Keoghan.

The TV series was originally released on April 19 in Canada. It is produced by Saloon Media and Impossible Factual, in association with Shaw Media. Directed by Mick Grogan and narrated by Jason Priestly, the six-one hour episodes center around mummies that have been found all around the world and the stories and legends surrounding their deaths. In tonight's episode, Mummies Alive will focus on a mummy known as gunslinger mummy Sylvester, 14-year-old Inca Maiden, and Otzi, The Iceman - just to name a few.

Focusing on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues, the series was hosted by Irshad Manji. In addition to coverage of general LGBT issues in Canada, the show was one of the venues where she developed some of her early ideas about the reform of Islam. The series began in 1997 on CablePulse 24 as The Q Files. It changed its name to QT: QueerTelevision in 1998 when it was added to Citytv's schedule, to fit in with that channel's other news and information series such as FashionTelevision, Breakfast Television and MediaTelevision. The series ended in 2001. The series was also broadcast via streaming video on the LGBT website PlanetOut.
