Tetsuko no Heya (Tetsuko's Room) is a long-running daytime television talk show hosted by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. The show has been on the air for over four decades and is broadcast every weekday. Over 10,000 Japanese and foreign celebrities have appeared on the show over the years since its inception in February 1976.

The story takes place on Terschelling, which is closed off from the rest of the Netherlands at the end of the 19th century. Sil Droeviger, a farmer in Oosterend, supplements his income for his family, consisting of his wife Jaakje and sons Jelle and Wietse, with beachcombing. One day a strong storm arises and Sil rescues a girl from a sunken Swedish dinghy, while the mother drowns. Sil takes the girl home and raises her as his own daughter. He calls her Lobke, just like their daughter who died shortly after birth.

CTV shifted from daytime game shows in 1976, hiring Alan Hamel for their first daytime talk show. Known for his earlier CBC successes, he'd also thrived in U.S. hosting and producing roles. Produced at BCTV Vancouver, the Alan Hamel Show attracted LA showbiz friends, including his wife Suzanne Somers. Airing from 1976 to 1980, it ran Monday through Friday, initially 2:00-3:00 pm and later shifted to 1:30 pm in the 1979-80 season due to NBC's schedule expansion."

In 1975, the composer Robert Ashley embarked on an ambitious work titled Music With Roots in the Aether. He called it an opera (or piece of theater, depending on the case) for television. The work is comprised of seven two-hour sections. Each episode is dedicated to investigations, interviews, and performances of one of his peers – David Behrman, Philip Glass, Alvin Lucier, Gordon Mumma, Pauline Oliveros, and Terry Riley, respectively, with the final reserved for himself.

Circus bear Bolke escapes from a life of captivity and find refuge with a family of hares. He is allowed to stay in the forest near Apeldoorn as long as he gets a cave of his own. He is soon joined by another escapee, Melis the Monkey.

In November 1775, an officer of the Hessian army deserts from Ziegenhayn fortress. Captain Claus von Haynau is keen on capturing the man, but his plans are foiled by his half-brother, Robert. The deserter turns out to be one Soermann, a former friend of Robert's father who disappeared 20 years ago and is presumed dead. Now, Robert finally learns what really happened: His father did not die but went to America. Robert decides to follow, but has not counted on Claus - and on the Landgrave of Hesse's need for soldiers to sell to the British for the fight against the rebellious American colonists.

A fondo (English: In Depth) was a Spanish television interview program hosted by Joaquín Soler Serrano that was broadcast on La Primera Cadena of Televisión Española from 1976 until 1981. The program's mission statement, according to its opening title cards, was to interview "the leading figures in letters, the arts, and sciences." Beginning with Jorge Luis Borges, who was the guest on the first episode of A fondo aired on September 8, 1976, the program played host to some of the Spanish speaking world's most respected intellectuals of the day. In 1976 critics awarded the show a Premio Ondas in the "national television" category.

Bank manager Hugo Oswald is to be interviewed live, but suddenly collapses dead in the studio, poisoned in front of an open microphone. Police detectives Helmer and Sigurdson are assigned to the case. Pensioner Brockmann, the murdered bank manager’s neighbour, also becomes heavily involved in the investigation.

The collection of Resian fairy tales is a reprint from 1973. It brings sixty fairy tale texts, nine of which are also in Resian. The book has an exhaustive preface by dr. Milka Matičetova, which is partially supplemented in this edition, so that the collection is not only intended for family reading, but also for more demanding research readers. Ethnologist dr. Milko Matičetov collected Resian fairy tales for half a century and carefully transferred them to the literary language, which reflects the juicy language and stylistic refinement of Resian folk singers and storytellers. The reprint is accompanied by a CD of Resian fairy tales from the popular series For 2 Groschen Fantasies.

Flashez is an ABC music television program hosted by Ray Burgess later being joined by co-host Mike Meade. The series began in August 1976 and ended on December 2, 1977. It ran five days a week in an afternoon slot.
