The Cut was a television reality show for world class fashion designers hosted and sponsored by fashion designer and billionaire Tommy Hilfiger. Sixteen designers split into new teams each week to complete tasks, with a player eliminated each round. The show debuted on CBS, and shifted timeslots through the summer. Of note was the catch phrase Hilfiger used for each elimination, celebrity appearances, and the New York City setting. The winner had the opportunity to design a clothing line for HIllfiger. In the final, three contestants were allowed to bring back former teammates to help design a window display. Hilfiger chose Cortez as the winner.

The Ron White Show was a 2005 TV special that appeared in the WB in 2005. It starred comedian Ron White, was directed by C.B. Harding and written by Donick Cary. It featured two cartoon segments that are now available on White's official website. The show was meant to be part of an evening of Blue Collar programming on the WB, which would have also included two episodes of Blue Collar TV and an episode of Bill Engvall's Mobile Home Disaster. However, this only lasted for a single evening, as Ron's show disappeared immediately, and Mobile Home Disaster followed suit soon afterwards. The only aired episode of The Ron White Show began with White briefly taking in the different pleasures of Las Vegas, followed by a series of short sketches. The show included appearances by "Dr Phil" McGraw and comedians Dave Attell, Rip Taylor, and the trio from Blue Collar TV, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy. The show is available on Region 1 DVD from Sony with an ISBN of 1-4049-9988-4.

Con is a television series on Comedy Central in which con artist Skyler Stone revealed the secrets of his profession by performing confidence tricks, scams, and hoaxes of various degrees of complexity on camera. These could range from simply claiming that an order for food was botched, to claiming to be a certain profession, which required training. In one episode Stone showed how he received free soft drinks at fast food restaurants by retaining paper cups from various fast food restaurants and then refilling them at soda fountains. Most of his cons revolved around him claiming that he is filming a television show or movie of some sort, and that the product or service he wished to acquire would be advertised in the film or show. The products did wind up getting free advertisement – but on Con, not where they were told.

Animal Cops: San Francisco is an American documentary reality television series that premiered in 2005 on Animal Planet. The program follows ten Animal Care and Control investigators and two full-time police officers in their work in preventing and prosecuting animal cruelty in San Francisco, California. The series, which premiered in 2005, is part of an umbrella rotation of shows known collectively as "Animal Planet Heroes". This show has not yet aired in the United Kingdom, where Animal Cops: Houston and Animal Cops: Detroit have become popular with viewers.

Battle of the Gridiron Stars is a television show that airs on ESPN. It pits teams of National Football League players, one from the American Football Conference and the National Football Conference, against each other in various athletic events. The program, which takes its inspiration from the likes of Battle of the Network Stars and The Superstars, is produced by IMG, the world's leading sports management firm. The show takes place at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Each team is coached by a former NFL quarterback: Archie Manning coaches the National team, and Ken Stabler coaches the American team. Battle began in the spring of 2005 as ESPN sought replacement programming for the National Hockey League, which was in the midst of a lockout that would cost the league its entire season. Because of good ratings, and also in light of ESPN losing the NHL rights to OLN, the series was renewed in 2006. Due to licensing restrictions, no actual team names or game highlights are used on the program.

The Sex Inspectors is a late night UK TV show that focuses on sex therapy for couples facing difficulties with their relationship. The show, presented by Tracey Cox and Michael Alvear, aids couples by offering ways to spice up their relationships and sex lives. The show airs at 11PM on Channel 4, and each series usually consists of 3 to 4 episodes, with the series finale being a special episode devoted to revisiting the couples featured on the series. On the first visit, CCTVs are installed throughout the house, allowing the Tracey and Micheal to monitor the couples' lives. After a few days of monitoring, the presenters then go back to the couples to tell them what they are doing wrong and what needs to be improved.

Minding the Store is a 2005 reality TV show starring Pauly Shore. The show was based around Shore trying to revitalize his acting career and run the family business, The Comedy Store. Shore is helped by his staff, which includes manager Dean Gelber, talent booker Tommy Morris, and handyman Marlon Hernandez. The show featured several comics, including Tommy Chong, Jay London, Marc Hatchell and Ari Shaffir. The first season featured ten episodes, including Shore organizing a roster of "hot girl" comedians, learning jousting at Medieval Times, and a roast of Shore while he sat on a gold throne complete with a red toilet seat. Shore and TBS claimed that if anyone did not laugh while viewing the show that they would receive a dollar if they wrote to the network to ask for one. No person that wrote to request the dollar is believed to have ever received one and many were said to have been marked as "return to sender." The show was canceled after its short run.

Hit Me, Baby, One More Time was a 2005 television entertainment show first broadcast on the British television network ITV and later, as a new version, by NBC in the United States; both were presented by Vernon Kay. During each programme, five former pop stars sing their biggest hit along with a cover version of a contemporary hit. Each week one winner is picked from each show by a phone vote or a studio-audience vote, leading to the grand final when the overall winner can release a single featuring both songs or have $20,000 donated to a charity of their choice. The show's title comes from a line in the Britney Spears song "...Baby One More Time". The show proved to be a summer hit for NBC hitting the top spot in the ratings on its first outing. For the U.S. version, some critics argued that the show did not live up to its premise since some groups performed without their original lineup.

UFC All Access was a reality television show which aired on Spike TV. Hosted by Rachelle Leah, UFC All Access went behind the scenes into the lives of Mixed Martial Arts fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship as they trained for their upcoming bouts. It usually aired during the week of a major UFC pay-per-view event. Spike TV stopped production on the series.

Super Agent was an American reality television series about nine sports agents competing to be selected for defensive lineman Shaun Cody. The series was shown on Spike TV in 2005. In each episode the sports agents were given assignments that allowed them to demonstrate their skills and talents as agents for Cody as he deliberated on which agent would ultimately be hired to manage his multi-million dollar American football career.

Las Vegas Garden of Love is a reality television series that aired on ABC Family for 10 episodes during the summer of 2005. Like most ABC Family reality series, it was not given a real ending or a second season, due to very low ratings. It was re-run until Fall of 2005.

The series featured the remaining members of the all-girl R&B group TLC whose former member, Lisa Lopes, died in a car crash in Honduras in April 2002. Initially promoted as a contest to permanently replace Lopes 3 years after her death, both Watkins and Thomas admitted that the winner of the contest would not be joining TLC full-time and would not be a replacement member; the winner would only provide guest vocals on a new single by the duo.

Ballbreakers is a pocket billiards game show that began on the Game Show Network on July 18, 2005. The hosts were Sal Masekela, Ewa Mataya Laurance, and Adrianne Curry. GSN cancelled the show in 2006.

The Good Night Show is a television programming block on PBS KIDS Sprout which premiered on September 26, 2005. Programming starts at 6:00pm ET each evening. Throughout the three-hour block, which is repeated three times over the course of the evening, viewers are encouraged to participate in host-led games, songs, crafts, and lessons in yoga and sign language. Activities and games generally revolve around a theme, and take place between theme-appropriate cartoon episodes. These themes include issues of interest to preschool children and their parents, such as imaginary friends, teddy bears, shadows, opposites, dreams, or babysitters.
