Fred and Barney Meet the Shmoo is a 90-minute Saturday morning animated package show produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions from December 8, 1979 to November 15, 1980 on NBC. It contained the following segments: The New Fred and Barney Show, The Thing, and The New Shmoo. The show was a repackaging of episodes from The New Fred and Barney Show and The Thing combined with half-hour reruns of The New Shmoo. Despite the show's title, Fred, Barney, the Thing and the Shmoo only appeared briefly together in bumpers between segments. In 1980, the Shmoo joined Fred and Barney on the "Bedrock Cops" segment of The Flintstone Comedy Show.

A fondo (English: In Depth) was a Spanish television interview program hosted by Joaquín Soler Serrano that was broadcast on La Primera Cadena of Televisión Española from 1976 until 1981. The program's mission statement, according to its opening title cards, was to interview "the leading figures in letters, the arts, and sciences." Beginning with Jorge Luis Borges, who was the guest on the first episode of A fondo aired on September 8, 1976, the program played host to some of the Spanish speaking world's most respected intellectuals of the day. In 1976 critics awarded the show a Premio Ondas in the "national television" category.

Nanjo Aki is a female investigator at the Tokyo Central Investigative Headquarters of an international secret investigation agency with its headquarters in Paris. Following orders from the Paris headquarters, she secretly investigates major international conspiracies and criminal cases, and is an enforcer of justice who strikes down the roots of these crimes before evil organizations can carry them out. She has two excellent subordinates, and under them is another subordinate who is like a female leopard, and they solve the cases. As soon as she receives orders, Nanjo Aki gathers her subordinates at a secret hideout, draws up a meticulous plan, and executes it.

Star Gazers is a five-minute astronomy show on American public television previously hosted by Jack Foley Horkheimer, executive director of the Miami Space Transit Planetarium. After his death in 2010 from a respiratory illness from which he'd suffered since childhood, a series of guest astronomers hosted until 2011, when Dean Regas, James Albury and Marlene Hidalgo became permanent co-hosts. On the weekly program, the host informs the viewer of significant astronomical events for the upcoming week, including key constellations, stars and planets, lunar eclipses and conjunctions, as well as historical and scientific information about these events. The program is available free to all Public Broadcasting Service public television stations, educational institutions and astronomy clubs. A month of episodes can be recorded from a satellite feed which occurs approximately two weeks before the official broadcast dates.
