Mea Culpa 100 limite

Several years ago, a group of unknown comedians created a television humor lab called 100 LIMITE. They exposed and sliced through everything they found ridiculous with the sharp blade of satire. Today, with the benefit of hindsight, they feel the need to confess. For four special episodes, André Robitaille, Jacques Chevalier, Pierre Brassard, Yvon Landry, Richard Z. Sirois, and Ghislain Taschereau reunite for one final MEA-CULPA 100 LIMITE. Will they truly ask for forgiveness?

Les 100 tours de Centour

Les 100 tours de Centour was a 1971-1972 French language children's television show made in Quebec by Radio-Québec. Its stories revolved around Verbo, a genie with magical power who was trying to recapture Centour. The show's main purpose was language acquisition, which was conveyed by the way Verbo would do magic: when he needed to perform a trick, he would ask his talisman for a formula He would then close his eyes and repeat, asking the children at home to do the same. Centour on his part would perform magic by reciting similar formulas while shaking his magic wristband. Memo's constant companion was Picot Cotton, a young human male whose family was often the target of Centour's tricks.

Legendary Sin Cities

Of all the remarkable events of this century perhaps the most fascinating has been the spontaneous growth, flowering and then decay of a handful of great cities. These cities were places where art, culture and political liberties co-mingled with corruption, brutality and decadence. Everything and just about anyone could be bought and sold. The immigrant would struggle beside the artist. Gamblers, thieves and prostitutes co-habited with soul-savers, the rich and the powerful. The exhilarating combination of the seamy with the sublime made these places a magnet for all the lost souls and refugees of the world. Pushing the limits of tolerance and freedom, they defined the social, political and sexual culture of the 20th century. Their names ring out: Paris of the '20s, Berlin of the '20s and '30s and Shanghai of the '30s.

The Greatest Canadian

Officially launched on 5 April 2004, The Greatest Canadian was a television program series by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to determine who is considered to be the greatest Canadian of all time, at least according to those who watched and participated in the program. The project was inspired by the BBC series Great Britons. Radio-Canada, the national publicly funded French-Language broadcasting agency, was not involved in The Greatest Canadian project, reducing the input of Canada's French-Canadian minority over the results. The CBC did make its website available in French, however. The "Greatest Canadian" was not decided by a simple popular poll, but was instead chosen through a two-step voting process. On 17 October 2004 the CBC aired the first part of The Greatest Canadian television series. In it, the bottom 40 of the top 50 "greatest" choices were revealed, in order of popularity, determined by polls conducted by E-mail, website, telephone, and letter. To prevent bias during the second round of voting, the top ten nominees were presented alphabetically rather than by order of first round popularity. This second vote was accompanied by a series of documentaries, where 10 Canadian celebrities acting as advocates each presented their case for The Greatest Canadian. Voting concluded on 28 November at midnight and the following evening, 29 November, the winner was revealed to be Tommy Douglas.
