When Phone Sexxers premiered in the summer of 2006 the audience granted the simple show about Phone Sex the honor of another episode. Ryan Ridley and Abed Gheith took their good fortune and ran with it, re-inventing themselves with every episode, right up until the end of the 2006 season. They managed to juxtapose the inner workings of the male phone sex industry with situations ranging from high-rise bloodbaths to the depths of hell, and did it with the kind of class and skill that landed the show Best Editing, Best Special Effects, and Best Writing at the 2006 Channy Awards. New Zealand television station TV2 picked up this show and aired the complete series, all twelve episodes, in the second half of 2005. These episodes appeared online via BitTorrent soon after. The show was also partially aired on Singapore television station Mediacorp Channel 5, with the pilot episode and episodes #106 to #112 being skipped. Episode #111 was an exception, and was aired as the fifth episode. The show was also aired in full on France cable television station Canal Jimmy in 2006. In the beginning of 2008 the show was aired in full on Polish television station TVN 7. The series was shown on the Nine Network in Australia in 2007.

Jaane Kya Baat Hui is an Indian television series which premiered on Colors on December 1, 2008. It replaced the reality show Bigg Boss which ended on November 22, 2008. The series was produced by Prem Krishen of Cinevistaas Limited and starred Shweta Tiwari and Sanjeet Bedi in the leads. The show ended due to low TRPs, despite its strong theme. Jaane Kya Baat Hui had repeats on Rishtey from September 3, 2012 to February 15, 2013.

The show takes place in a Japanese school where everything is normal, except for students from what are called "specified races." The specified races are based on yōkai from Japanese mythology; for example, one student on the swim team is a kappa, while another, a nurikabe, merges with walls and is popular in the summertime for having a very cool temperature.
