Internet Slutts

Internet Slutts is a bizarre, off-beat comedy series about a couple of twisted puppets whose lives revolve around the Internet. Set in a skanky basement apartment, Internet Slutts stars MURK, a drug-addled bicycle courier, and his best friend WALLY, a pompous, opinionated fellah who bears a striking resemblance to a two foot tall penis. Savvy net browsers, Wally and Murk head to the web whenever they need to answer a pressing question such as "Is peeing on people really a highly erotic sex act or just bad manners?" They surf when they're researching a new hobby, looking for ways to scam some quick cash, or just plain bored and in the mood to waste valuable time building a virtual cow. They also leave the apartment occasionally - to get a brand new scrotal Celtic tattoo, rent their favourite adult videos, or take a survey of movie theatre urinal techniques.

Fandemonium

Fandemonium was a reality-TV style program created and aired on a music video TV channel MuchMusic. It was hosted by one of the MuchMusic VJs, either George Stroumboulopoulos and Amanda Walsh. The TV program concept is that two fans of a music artist celebrity that claim they are the celebrity's biggest fan, have to compete in a series of tasks in an obstacle course which only one will win in order to prove that they really are the celebrity's number one fan. In the conclusion of the program, the winner has the choice of selecting 2 boxes, only one of which contains a trip and various prizes, or walking away with an electronic system without having to make any choice. Only one episode of the program featured a guest appearance by the actual music celebrities of the contestants dreams - Sum 41. In a surprise twist, the band members of Sum 41 appeared halfway through the show for a paintball competition with the two contestants, and hung around providing commentary and support for the two challengers for the rest of the episode.

Spectacular Spas

Spectacular Spas is a Canadian television travel series about spa treatments from around the world. The series began in 1998. Hosted by Carrie Olver, the programme mainly visits destination spas and day spas, and has been to many different world regions — including all around North America, as well as the Caribbean, Scandinavia, England, central Europe and east Asia — in search of different sorts of treatments and experiences. It covers types of massage particular to a region; areas with natural hot springs for bathing, different kinds of cuisine, alternative holistic treatments and materials thought to have healing qualities are also explored. The mood of the programme is very relaxed, and its theme tune and incidental music are deliberately soothing, to reflect the subject matter. It has been shown worldwide since beginning on Canada's Life Network, to NDTV in India and You TV in the UK. The large amount of nudity on Spectacular Spas is not usually a problem for censors, since only Carrie Olver's back is exposed when she gets massaged, but You TV decided to cut out a sequence where she stripped off her towel in a river after having a mud bath.

FashionTelevision

FashionTelevision, also known as FT, was a Canadian-produced special interest show focusing on fashion. The show, created by Jay Levine in 1985 was last hosted by Jeanne Beker. Production of the broadcast finally ended on April 11, 2012. The program was originally a local production of CITY-TV Toronto, the original Citytv station. Its popularity there led it to eventually be carried across Canada on various channels owned by CHUM Limited, the station's owner, and later spawning its own specialty cable channel, Fashion Television. The show was also broadcast in syndication for many years on VH1, E! and sister network style in the United States, and continues to air in many parts of Europe, making Beker a very recognizable person in the fashion world. The show's theme song was "Obsession" by the group Animotion. CTV's parent company, CTVglobemedia bought out CHUM in June 2007. Citytv, which remained the nominal producer of the show throughout its history, was sold to Rogers Communications; however, because CTVglobemedia kept the spinoff channel, it was also entitled to the rights to the show itself. FT's terrestrial broadcasts moved from Citytv to the CTV network in January 2008. This brought the series back to CTV Atlantic, which aired FT when it was still owned by CHUM.
