Noriko Shimura is on duty for the first time at Gyoda Hospital. The duty doctor is Yosuke Naoe. After 9PM Jiro Toda, a childhood friend of Noriko's, is brought in with a cut to his forehead from a fight. But Naoe has gone out for a drink, and can't be found. Both Toda and the ambulance crew become angry and demand to know where the doctor is. Naoe returns and seeing the commotion, he orders Toda be locked in a toilet until he calms down. Noriko is horrified by Naoe's attitude but is later impressed with his ability as a surgeon when treating Toda' s injury. This is their first fateful meeting...

Bobby Dazzler is an Australian television sitcom produced by Crawford Productions starring singer John Farnham as the title character: up and coming pop music star Bobby Farrell. The other regular cast members were Maurie Fields as Bobby's father Fred, an old vaudeville performer; and Olivia Hamnett as Bobby's officious manager Della McDermott. It was aired on the Seven Network during the summer of 1977-78. The term bobby dazzler was originally a Lancashire dialect term for someone who is strikingly-dressed.

Claudi in Budapest. They spend happy days in Vienna. In Prague, the printing workers go on strike. Adrienne fights alongside the workers and Robert Kalivoda. She experiences class struggle with her cousin Guido Frank. Alexander tries to introduce Irene to the family.

The ship which supplies Anton Denikin with money, weapons and secret documents gets to the attention of different party units in a Black Sea resort. The small Bolshevik armed unit fights there against the British authority. Its aim is to subvert the supply of weapons to the White Army. The Bolshevik armed unit penetrates the ship, disarms the captain, takes away the money and booby-traps the ship. In order to baffle pursuit the group decides to escape through the swamps. One member of the group turns out to be a traitor. He steals the money. The rest of the group drowns in the swamp.

Alvin Purple was an Australian television situation comedy series made by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 1976. The series followed continued adventures of the title character, previously featured in successful sex comedy feature films Alvin Purple and Alvin Purple Rides Again. Graeme Blundell reprises the role of Alvin in the series. Alvin cohabitates with a new character, flatmate Spike. As in the films various women inexplicably lust after Alvin. The women were played by a stream of recognisable Australian actors in guest starring roles including Tina Bursill, Jackie Weaver, Belinda Giblin, June Rich, Jane Harders, Pamela Gibbons, Kirrily Nolan, Peta Peita, Judy Lynne, Suzanne Church, Carla Hoogeveen, Chantal Contouri, Anya Saleky. Dawn Lake and Leonard Teale also acted in the series.

Children's Underground Club of United Moose and Beaver for Enthusiastic Reporters or Cucumber, was a TV show produced by TVOntario in the 1970s, and repeated in the 1980s during TVOntario's daytime kids' programming. The show featured a human-sized moose and beaver often reporting from a treehouse. By sending in a story or some artwork to the show, one could become a member of the Cucumber Club. His Lordship Entertains was Ronnie Barker's second sitcom vehicle for his Lord Rustless character, first seen three years earlier in Hark at Barker on ITV. This time though, Rustless had switched channels and was now appearing on BBC2. Hark at Barker had also included sketch inserts, whereas His Lordship Entertains was a regular sitcom. Set again in the aristocratic Chrome Hall, which had now become a hotel. It again also starred David Jason as the 100 year old Dithers and Josephine Tewson as Mildred Bates. Two actors who would go on to have a long working relationship with Barker. In fact all of the regular cast reprised their roles from Hark at Barker. Barker wrote all the scripts under the pseudonym Jonathan Cobbald. He liked to refer to the show as "Fawlty Towers mark one" as it appeared on television three years before that other hotel bound sitcom. Four episodes of the sitcom were recently performed on stage by Nottingham University's New Theatre.

David Cassidy: Man Undercover was an American police drama starring David Cassidy, four years after his run starring in the The Partridge Family. The series was spun off after Cassidy guest starred in a special two-hour episode of another show, Police Story, titled A Chance to Live, which aired in May 1978; this episode is therefore sometimes confusingly referred to as the pilot for Man Undercover. In A Chance to Live, Cassidy portrayed undercover police officer Dan Shay, a cop who successfully infiltrates a high-school drug ring as a fellow student. Cassidy earned an Emmy Award nomination for Best Dramatic Actor for the role. He reprised the role of Officer Shay for the Man Undercover series, which aired on NBC from November 2, 1978 to July 12, 1979. Only ten episodes of the show aired prior to its cancellation.
