The first half of the twentieth century. Rosa's family moves to Berd to start from scratch and harmoniously integrate into the measured and centuries-old way of life of the picturesque Armenian village. But no matter what, little Rose is very happy to be in Berda, because now she will be inseparable from her cousin Faye. Rosa's parents are gradually settling in: mother Maria dreams of getting a job at a local school, which Rosa is trying to prevent with all her might, and father Joseph, despite eternal failures, comes up with one clever scam after another.
