A kid-based sketch comedy, aimed at 9-16 year olds. It was a national spinoff of the already popular local show You Can't Do That on Television (YCDTOTV), which had debuted a few months earlier. Whatever Turns You On (WTYO) featured seven of the 22 kids used on the first season of YCDTOTV and was shot on the same sets. Essentially they were the same show, only WTYO had comedy and musical guests, and YCDTOTV had those plus local, call-in features, and local contests. Unfortunately, WTYO did not earn high network ratings and was cancelled after only one season. After WTYO's cancellation, YCDTOTV returned to it's local, live format in January, 1981.

The Shopping Bags was a Canadian television series that aired on the W Network in Canada and on Fine Living in the United States. Launched in 2002, the series focused on consumer affairs and better shopping. Each week the program looked at several goods and services to discover which one was the best. This was also done to guide viewers towards which product or service may best suit their needs. The program looked at day-to-day shopping and big ticket items, as well as having a final "Shopping Thought" at the end of each program.

Dear Aunt Agnes was a children's show on TV Ontario that debuted on Tuesday, Jan 7, 1986. The show's premise was that a divorced mother called her Aunt Agnes to come and take care of her children so that she could take a job in another country. Agnes Peabody was a lovable 65-year-old eccentric who moved in with her pre-teen nephew and teenage niece. Agnes was not fond of the seemingly modern amenities of her new home. Agnes was also very fond of Elvis Presley. The show was designed for eight- to twelve-year-olds with a conscious effort to create a non-traditional family situation in which children are given the responsibility for a lot of their decisions. Cancelled after two 13-episode seasons, it aired in reruns before returning in 1989 with a new batch of episodes in which Andrew and Alex were all grown up. In this last season, the problems the kids encountered reflected issues that affect teens.

Barbara Frum is a Canadian talk show which aired on CBC Television between October 1974 and July 1975. Barbara Frum interviewed various guests including Michael Magee, Charlotte Gobeil, Paul Rimstead, Allan Fotheringham, and Jack Webster and in the premiere episode her guests included Roman Gralewicz, the President of the Seafarers' International Union, and, for a surprise appearance, Gerda Munsinger, the woman at the centre of a 1966 scandal that involved Cabinet Minister Pierre Sevigny. Metropia is a Canadian television drama, which currently airs on Omni Television. The show originally aired every weeknight at 10:30 p.m. on OMNI.2, and all the episodes of the week were repeated on Sunday nights on OMNI.1 starting at 9 p.m. Metropia was later nationally broadcast beginning in 2007 on Super Channel. The show is still available Sunday - Friday nights, on OMNI.1.

Junk Brothers is a reality television series broadcast by HGTV Canada. Brothers and show hosts Steve and Jim Kelley collect discarded items and use these to create new furniture. These works are then returned to the people who discarded them; the former owners of the 'junk' do not expect their discards to be refurbished in this manner. The first episode aired 6 April 2006. By July 2006, the series was also televised on the American HGTV network. A second season began airing in Canada and the USA on January 2007.
