It was launched May 15, 1999 Saturday with 1 hour telecast. May 17, 1999 it started its regular telecast. It replaced Del Tierro in Telebabad block.

The dubbed dialogue in Trouble Chocolate often bears little or no resemblance to the original script, as opposed to the normal convention of translating the words as directly as the change in lip-sync will allow.

The group soon comes into contact with a Native American tribe, and relations are anything but friendly. The group is taken in by a mysterious tribe, who descended from 16th century British colonists who were lost in Amazon. Relations with the Chosen are tenuous at best. Most of the group escapes the Chosen only to stir up a hornets nest with a tribe of cannibals, led by an insane American woman bent on domination of all the local tribes. The first season ended in a cliff-hanger, and a second season was never produced. The series retained sufficient interest that it was released on DVD in 2011. A novelization of the 2-hour pilot was written by Rob MacGregor, and a mass-market paperback was released by Harper on 8 Aug 2000. The German title was Amazonas - Gefangene des Dschungels.

Voicelugger is a Japanese tokusatsu that aired from January 12 to March 30, 1999. It was the last production by Shotaro Ishinomori, released posthumously, who intended for the series to be serious, while it was originally written to be a parody of older tokusatsu programs. Downtown is an animated series on MTV on urban life, based on interviews with real people. The show follows a diverse and multiracial cast who live in New York City, and presents their everyday lives through quirky, humorous, and imaginative perspectives from the characters. It was created by Chris Prynoski, a former animator on Beavis and Butt-Head and produced by David McGrath. In 2000, Downtown was nominated for an Emmy in the category of outstanding animated program. Downtown faced a similar fate to many of MTV's other cartoons - it only lasted one season. The use of an original score rather than licensed music makes a sanctioned DVD release unlikely. Some of the show's staff have gone on to work on the action animated series Megas XLR, which uses the same quirky humor found in Downtown as well as the character Goat, reprised by Scott Rienecker.

It was a Comedy-Television sitcom that aired weeknights on its prime time slot after Saan Ka Man Naroroon. The show was memorable because of Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin' triumphant love team and as the lead stars of the series. The series ended in November 2000 and was replaced by the prime time television series Pangako sa ’Yo. The show also made Jolina Magdangal the box office queen of the decade.
