Rollergirls

Rollergirls was a 2006 A&E Network reality show examining the personalities, antics and motivations of the women involved with the Austin, Texas Lonestar Rollergirls roller derby league. The show focused primarily on the lives of Cha Cha and Venis Envy of Las Putas Del Fuego; Punky Bruiser, Miss Conduct, and Sister Mary Jane of the Holy Rollers; Lunatic and Clownsnack of the Hellcats; and Lux of the Rhinestone Cowgirls. Many other skaters were also highlighted. The league, now known as Texas Roller Derby or TXRD, was founded in 2001 and is run as a "skater-owned and operated" company that continues to this day. The five home teams are the Cherry Bombs, Hellcats, Holy Rollers, Las Putas Del Fuego and Rhinestone Cowgirls. Episodes were initially broadcast on Monday nights beginning on January 2, 2006, with repeated showings throughout the week. Rollergirls was produced by Gary and Julie Auerbach, the creators of MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. The show ended after one season.

Both the UK and US versions featured celebrity contestants. The US version was produced by FremantleMedia North America and Granada America and was hosted by Ricki Lake and announced by Rich Fields. In the US, the series only aired for a single season, while in the UK a second season aired in 2007, this time entitled Gameshow Marathon and hosted by Vernon Kay. In the Loop with iVillage is an American television program. The program served as a brand extension of the NBC Universal-owned iVillage website, which focuses on advice and issues of interest to women, and was hosted by actress and comedian Kim Coles, season one The Apprentice winner Bill Rancic, and Ereka Vetrini, who also was in the first season of The Apprentice. The show was produced through the facilities of WMAQ-TV in Chicago, and aired exclusively on stations owned and operated by NBC. This program was originally known as iVillage Live, which premiered on December 4, 2006 with virtually the same format. iVillage Live emanated from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, with Miami-based NBC station WTVJ responsible for the program's production. The show also aired on a one-day delay on Bravo when it launched, but the repeats ended on Bravo after three weeks. On September 4, 2007, NBC Universal Television and iVillage.com officially announced the relaunch of IVillage Live as In the Loop with iVillage. At its initial launch, iVillage Live was hosted by Molly Pesce, Stefani "Sissy" Schaeffer, and Guy Yovan, and featured contributions from Naamua Delaney and Bob Oschack. All five relatively unknown hosts were removed from the program when it was relaunched.

Mega Disasters is an American documentary television series that originally aired from May 23, 2006 to July 2008 on The History Channel. Produced by Creative Differences, the program explores potential catastrophic threats to individual cities, countries, and the entire globe. The two "mega-disasters" of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and Hurricane Katrina in 2005 inspired the series and provided a reference point for many of the episodes. 24 Hour Design is an American reality television series involving a team consisting of a host and designer, design assistant and a carpenter that help homeowners transform a single room. The show is shot in a single day, with a budget around $2,000. Original episodes of 24 Hour Design began to air on HGTV October 6, 2006. The program's second season began July 10, 2007. In each episode of 24 Hour Design, the host meets with the homeowners to discuss the redesign of their room. The team and homeowners work on the space together up until the final hour. Thumb Wrestling Federation is an American children's live-action television series and is a part of TMi on BBC Two, BBC1 and the CBBC channel in the United Kingdom. It was previously shown on Cartoon Network and Kids' WB in the United States. TWF currently airs weekdays at 4:55pm on Cartoon Network Philippines, with half-hour recap editions Saturdays at 11:30am. The program's creator is Larry Schwarz of Animation Collective. The show centers around two rival thumb wrestling teams in the style of professional wrestling, including colorful characters and over-the-top emotions and antics. Three Sheets is an international travelogue/pub-crawl television series which airs on Spike in the United States. The first three seasons of the show originally aired on MOJO HD before moving to FLN for the fourth season. Repeats of the show briefly aired on The Travel Channel before being picked up by Spike. The title is taken from the popular expression, "three sheets to the wind," referring to one who is staggering drunk. Comedian Zane Lamprey hosts a humorous trip around the world sampling the local well-known food and drink while also engaging in local alcohol-related customs. In each episode Lamprey samples various food and drinks and learns about the customs and libations of that area, and then experiences the local hangover cure. The series is produced by Screaming Flea Productions.

Ice-T's Rap School is a reality television show on VH1. It is a spin-off of the British reality show Gene Simmons' Rock School, which also aired on VH1. In Rap School, rapper/actor Ice-T teaches eight teens from York Preparatory School in New York City how to become a real hip-hop group called the "York Prep Crew". Each week, Ice-T gives them assignments and they compete for an imitation gold chain with a microphone on it. On the season finale, the group performed as an opening act for Public Enemy.

Hidden Potential is a television series originally hosted by Peggy Bunker, but later hosted by Brandie Malay, that helps home buyers visualize what their dream home could look like before they buy it. The series premiered on HGTV on October 1, 2007. In each episode, a home buyer looks at three homes that need renovation in order to meet their needs for the house. As they tour each home, a design expert show the home buyer computer-generated graphics that showcase the home's "hidden potential." In the end, the home buyer chooses one to turn into their dream home. When the series initially started, Barry Wood was the design expert, however in later episodes Paige Rien, from another HGTV series Curb Appeal, is also seen in this role.

Master of Champions

Master of Champions is a show which began airing June 22, 2006 on ABC. The show format was based on a Nippon Television original series entitled World Records. The show was reformatted and produced in the United States by Y27 Entertainment for ABC. The show was hosted by Chris Leary and the co-host was ex-Playboy Playmate Lisa Dergan. The panel of Champions was made of up of baseball legend Steve Garvey, Olympic Gold Medalist for ice skating Oksana Baiul, and Olympic Gold Medalist for skiing Jonny Moseley. Each week the six contestants compete in unusual skills two at a time. If they compete in the same skill, the one that performed the best is the winner; if they have different skills, the studio audience decides the winner. At the end of the show, the three celebrity judges decide which of the three winners is given the title of Master of Champions and a trophy that is added to the "Wall of Masters". The show was cancelled on July 20, 2006.

Mike & Mike is an American sports-talk radio show hosted by Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg on ESPN Radio and simulcast on television, normally on ESPN2. If ESPN is broadcasting a live sporting event during the show's timeslot, SportsCenter will air on ESPN2, and the show's simulcast will therefore then air on ESPNews. If both ESPN and ESPN2 are showing live sporting events, Sportscenter will air on ESPNews and the show will air on either ESPNU or ESPN Classic.
