Hider in the House was a British children's game show presented by Jason King and Joel Ross. In the programme, a celebrity had to be hidden in a family's house by three children and a parent. If the family have fewer than three children, they use friends or related children to make up the numbers. The other parent of the family thinks they are taking part in a totally different programme. The children involved must undergo a series of tasks to win prizes which they will receive if the unaware parent does not work out what is really happening. The tasks are sometimes very messy or involve getting the unaware parent to do strange things. The format, was devised by Eyeworks UK, won the Best Entertainment prize at the 2008 Rose d'Or ceremony.

Part of themed season by the BBC entitled 'Ultimate Outdoors', Mountain was produced by Ian MacMillan; the executive producers were Richard Klein and Andrea Miller, and Hamish Barbour. The second series aired in 2008, featuring additional sketches with Princess Beatrice of York, Kate Moss, Leona Lewis, Jesus, The Queen, and Billie Piper’s Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The show was also broadcast internationally in Canada on CBC’s Bold channel and in Portugal on RTP2. A Christmas special, Katy Brand’s Big Ass Songs of 2008, aired in December 2008. The Omid Djalili Show was a British sketch comedy/stand-up comedy television show produced by Hat Trick Productions for BBC One. Writing by Omid Djalili, Will Smith, Roger Drew, Ian Stone, Ricky Grover with script editor Steve Punt. The theme tune is a piece of Salsa music called "Amor Verdadero", performed by the Afro-Cuban All Stars. It was first broadcast on 17 November 2007 in the network's primetime Saturday night slot. It is also broadcast in Australia on ABC1, in Denmark on DR2, in Estonia on ETV2 in 2010, in Israel on yes stars Comedy, in Germany on WDR and in Portugal on RTP2. The second series was recorded late 2008, and was first broadcast on 20 April 2009 at 10.35pm on BBC One. The show was axed in 2010.

Soapstar Superchef was a cooking show on the ITV Network, where soap stars from Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Neighbours compete to be crowned "kings" or "queens" of the kitchen. Their culinary efforts are judged by an expert panel of three judges. Each judge gives a mark out of ten, and the teams are able to gain extra points by answering questions about a short clip from their rivals' soap. Each team cooks twice and their points from both episodes are added together and the two teams with the highest totals will go head-to-head to win the show. The show was hosted by Richard Arnold, known as GMTV's TV critic, and Nicki Chapman, an English television presenter who also works in the British pop music industry. Overall 15 episodes were made, each 21 and half minutes long. The series is filmed in Bragg Creek, Alberta. The program made its debut on March 24, 2007 on Discovery Kids and CBBC. The series ended on June 30, 2007. Each program contains around six minutes of CGI. Brittney Wilson stars as Lauren Slayton, Suzanna Hamilton as Dr. Slayton and James Coombes as the villain, Dr. Aikens. Because of the Native Americans role in the series, the show could possibly be loosely based on Turok. Sci-fi veteran David Winning directed the pilot and first three episodes and Brendan Sheppard, known for his work on Doctor Who DVDs, directed five episodes. Marc Lougee, veteran of several award-winning animated series directed CG animation and Visual Effects/2nd unit for the series prior to filming The Pit and the Pendulum, a stop motion animated adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's classic tale. The Pit and the Pendulum was executive produced by animation icon Mr. Ray Harryhausen, joined by DINOSAPIEN producer Pete Denomme and Fred Fuchs.

Tycoon was an ITV reality television show, based on the existing Peter Jones/Simon Cowell production American Inventor, which began on 19 June 2007 at 9.00pm. It was fronted by Peter Jones, who searched for entrepreneurs with ideas that he helped turn into profit-making companies. The winner was chosen by the public. The entrepreneurs were competing for support from Peter Jones and the other companies' profits. The series also included a viewers' competition in which 25% of the winning company's shares were divided between 2,000 viewers. After two weeks Tycoon was pulled from its slot at 9pm on Tuesday night due to disappointing ratings. After missing a week, the series returned on Monday 9 July at 10pm, cut from one hour to 30 minutes and reduced from six episodes to five. The final of Tycoon took place on Monday 23 July on ITV, with Kate Thornton as host. Iain Morgan was announced the winner of the series.
