Crash Investigation Unit is an Australian factual television series on the Seven Network hosted by Damian Walshe-Howling. The series premiered on 27 August 2008. The series follows the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit to uncover the causes behind a car crash. The program is similar to New Zealand's SCU: Serious Crash Unit, which has previously aired on Seven to strong ratings. So far the series has attracted an average of 1.3 million viewers. On 22 September 2008, Channel Seven confirmed it had commissioned a second series of Crash Investigation Unit.

The Group was a popular Australian situation comedy series produced by Cash Harmon Television for ATN7 in 1971. The situation involved five young flatmates - three men and two women - living together for financial and pragmatic reasons and regularly attempting to outwit their landlord who was convinced there were saucy goings-on in the flat. The regular characters were named on screen with a freeze frame as they made their entrance at the start of each episode. Each credit also featured a brief description of the character, such as MARK the medical student, JENNIFER the student, BOB the accountant, JEREMY he's something in television, TINTO the landlord. The final character was Laura, the dumb brunette, a model unaware of her physical attractiveness. Laura was the key character around which most of the show's situations revolved. Her caption would change every episode and formed the title of the episode, such as "and LAURA this week she's on a diet", "This Week She Wants to Be a Singer", "This Week She Travels", etc. The regular cast included Ken James as Mark, Gregory Ross as Bob, Gregory de Polnay as Jeremy, Jenee Welsh as Jennifer and Terry O'Neill as Tinto. The role of Laura Bent was played by Roslyn Wilson, a newcomer with no acting experience. She was cast at the last minute when the original actor, Wendy Hughes who played Laura in the televised pilot episode, was released to take a role in a stage play.

The Mike Walsh Show is an Australian daytime television series. Hosted by Mike Walsh, the show ran from 1973 to 1984 for 90 minutes each weekday afternoon. The program was launched on the 0-10 Network and moved to the Nine Network in 1977. By the 1980s, The Mike Walsh Show was syndicated to regional television stations around Australia.

Eclipse Music TV is an Australian music television show which broadcasts every Sunday from 12:30pm on GO!. On air, the show is referred to as AllPhones Eclipse Music TV, after its major sponsor All Phones. The Celebrity Game is an Australian game show based on the game of charades, involving two teams of celebrities. The original series was hosted by Bert Newton on the Nine Network in 1969. A revived series hosted by Mike Preston on Network Ten ran from 1976-1977.

Good Morning Australia from Network Ten was the name of two different programs. This article is for the breakfast TV show, not to be confused with Bert Newton's morning program. The original Good Morning Australia breakfast television program was broadcast by Network Ten on weekdays from 7:00 to 9:00 am. It debuted on 2 March 1981 with Gordon Elliott and Sue Kellaway co-hosting. Kellaway departed shortly after the program began and was replaced by Kerri-Anne Kennerley, who stayed with the program until the end of 1991 when she was replaced by Sandra Sully, Joy Smithers and then Sandra Sully again. The male co-host position on GMA was filled by Tim Webster, Mike Gibson, Terry Willesee, Webster again, Mike Hammond and Ron Wilson. In 1992, GMA moved to the 6:30 to 8:30 am timeslot, coinciding with the launch of The Morning Show with Bert Newton. The breakfast program competed with the Nine Network's Today and usually placed second in the ratings behind Today. GMA, as a breakfast news program, was cancelled at the end of 1992 and the name was taken over by Bert Newton's morning program. GMA was Australia's first breakfast television program with programs such as Today, Sunrise, ABC News Breakfast and Wake Up following in its footsteps. The genre has also been expanded to Weekends with Weekend Today, Weekend Sunrise and Weekend Breakfast.

The Cricket Show is an Australian cricket television show, screened during the lunch breaks of Test matches in Australia on the Nine Network. Currently hosted by former Australian Test cricketer Michael Slater with support from his former international teammate fast bowler Brett Lee. It also features other members of Nine's commentary team, such as Mark Taylor, Ian Healy and Mark Nicholas. The show focuses on interviews with Australian domestic and international cricket, as well as reports and updates from cricket matches being played around the world. Simon O'Donnell hosted the show from 1997 but left to join The AFL Footy Show. Michael Slater replaced him in the summer of 2011/2012.

Motel was an Australian television soap opera made by ATN-7 in 1968. The series was screened in a daytime slot and was an attempt at an Australian version of the British serial Crossroads. Motel dealt with the Gillian family, who ran the Greenfields Motel. The series had a cast of thirteen regulars and required three days in the studio each week. Each episode was thirty minutes and the program screened at midday four days a week, with the episode repeated late at night. The show was shot in black-and-white. It had a run of 132 episodes. Cast members of the series included Jill Forster, Jack Thompson, Ross Higgins, Enid Lorimer. Writers included Creswick Jenkinson.

Holiday Island is an Australian television series made by Crawford Productions for Network Ten. The show aired twice weekly from 1981 to 1982, with the first episode going to air on 17 June 1981. Like preceding Crawford's series, the aborted Hotel Story, Holiday Island was a Love Boat-style drama series set in a luxury hotel. This time the location was a tropical resort island in Queensland. In each episode the regular characters - the various islanders and hotel workers - hosted a new batch of guest star hotel guests. Various plots and situations on the show included a fierce cyclone hitting the island, children being kidnapped, a siege where the hotel workers were held hostage by less than pleasant guests, drug trafficking, the resort being terrorised by a biker gang and a politician dying of a heart attack while staying at the island's resort. The series became notorious amongst critics for its allegedly poor production values, and the wintry conditions under which the tropical drama was shot became the focus of most jibes. Though set in a tropical hotel with palm trees, sunshine and beautiful beaches, for practical reasons all interiors scenes - and the bulk of exterior scenes - were shot at the Ten Network's studios in Nunawading, Melbourne. The exterior set made heavy use of awnings in an attempt to disguise Melbourne's propensity for overcast skies, but attempts to mask the icy breath of the bathing beauties was not always successful. Attempts to shoot location footage in Queensland were hampered by the fact that the local television crews assigned to the shoot had experience only in shooting news footage, and the fact that heavy rain fell for several days of a planned shoot. Ray Meagher, a guest star in the show's first episode, later jokingly referred the show as Horror Day on Iceland.

Weekend Breakfast is an Australian news breakfast television program broadcast on ABC News 24 on weekends. It is broadcast live from the ABC News 24 studio in Sydney's ABC Ultimo Centre and first aired on 4 February 2012. On Saturdays the program airs from 8am to 11.30 am. On Sundays it airs in two parts: first from 8 am to 9 am, at which point Insiders is broadcast for one hour. Weekend Breakfast then resumes at 10 am and continues until 11:30 am.

The Bobby Limb Show was an early Australian television variety series which aired from 1959 to 1961, and was later re-titled as The Mobil-Limb Show from 1961 to 1964. It was hosted by Bobby Limb, and was produced by TCN-9. Episodes included music, dancing, and comedy sketches. Regulars in The Bobby Limb Show included Dawn Lake, Buster Fiddess, Johnny O'Connor, The Delltones, Tikky Taylor, and The Bobby Limb Show Band. Regular guests in The Mobil-Limb Show included Leonard Teale, Gaynor Bunning, and Noel Brophy. Many episodes of both series exist as kinescope recordings.

One Week at a Time was an National Rugby League analysis show aired on One on 14 March 2011 till 3 October 2011. In 2011, an NRL version of the same name premiered on One.

Temptation was an Australian telemovie which screened on Network Ten in 2003, starring Colin Friels as Roberto Francobelli. It was a co-production with subscription television and screened on the UKTV channel on Foxtel. It was produced by Penny Chapman and Sue Masters. The directors was Tony Tilse. Temptation was about the passion of cooking and love. Chefs Ruth and Gabe are the top students of their graduating year and have fallen in love. Gabe starts working at his father Roberto's restaurant but their peaceful existence is shattered when they discover that Ruth is opening a restaurant across the road with Roberto's ex-partner Rita. It's love and war involving the staff of the two restaurants in the same street. Temptation led to a spin-off television drama series that ran for one season on Network Ten in 2004 called The Cooks. Temptation was about the love and war in the kitchens and bedrooms of the chefs.

Australia's Brainiest is a television game show series produced in Australia by Crackerjack Productions, a FremantleMedia company; and currently airing on Network Ten. The format was taken from the British series entitled Britain's Brainiest Kid. The concept of the show was originally coined in joint by Leonard Bridget and Manuel Grise. The first series was titled Australia's Brainiest Kid, and was produced in May 2004, airing on the Seven Network on Sundays, starting 28 November 2004. It was publicised through Australian primary schools, with children sitting an online test, followed by a selection of them taking a supervised written test. Of those that scored highly on these written tests, some of the highest scoring children appeared on the show as contestants. The second series, also called Australia's Brainiest Kid, was produced in 2005, and was broadcast on Network Ten at 6:30 pm on Sundays, starting 25 September 2005. It was hosted by Ten News newsreader Sandra Sully and co-hosted by Samuel Shaed. Network Ten now air special shows as part of a series named Australia's Brainiest with Sully continuing as host.

Commercial Breakdown is an Australian light entertainment television program based on the British version of the same name that features humorous television advertisements from around the world. The show first aired on 24 September 2007, and had a first series run of six episodes. The show returned for a second series on 7 April 2009. The show was placed on hiatus after the third episode of its second season. It is unknown if or when any remaining episodes will screen.

The Purple Jacaranda was an Australian television mini-series which aired on ABC in 1964. Cast included James Condon, Margo Lee, Ronald Morse, Diana Perryman, Walter Sullivan and John Unicomb. The archival status of the series is not confirmed, and little information on this series is available online.

World of Sport was an Australian sports program that was broadcast live by HSV 7 in Melbourne from 1959 to 1987 on Sundays between 11am and 2pm. By the end of its run, the show was claimed as the world's longest running sports program. A unique combination of talk, banter, highly informed commentary, invented and real sports, the program held a unique place in the sports-obsessed culture of Melbourne and made stars out of a number of ex-sportsman, particularly Australian rules footballers. The show premiered on Saturday 16 May 1959, less than three years after the debut of television in Australia. Sponsored by Westinghouse it ran for two hours and was hosted by radio commentator Ron Casey. The sponsor turned down an opportunity to renew after a thirteen week run, but Casey saw the opportunity inherent in the concept and enlisted the help of another well known radio presenter, "Uncle Doug" Elliott. The duo bought the concept, purchased air time on a Sunday and enlisted a new sponsor, Vealls, for 1960. The show was produced by Gordon Bennett,Directed by Dick Jones and Michael Barnett, and it screened on Sunday mornings at 11am, and was one of the best sports shows of its era, featuring the witty banter of Australian rules football legends Jack Dyer and Lou Richards, who exchanged barbs, but were the best of mates off-set.

House Gang is an Australian television comedy that screened on the Special Broadcasting Service. The first series of six episodes screened in 1996 and the second series of six episodes screened in 1998.

This is not to be confused with 31 Digital's new series by the same name currently covering the marine industry in South-East Queensland. The Boat Show features stories about boating, from people who are passionate about their boats and yachts, to the latest gadgets and boating tips and boating locations both in Australia and abroad. Presenters include Steven Jacobs, Grace McClure, Teisha Lowry and Kellie Johns. It began screening in 2003 on the Nine Network.

Cool Zone was an Australian television series which was broadcast on community television station, C31 Adelaide in Adelaide, South Australia. The show was aimed at a wide demographic with a focus on teenagers and was hosted by M-Cool. Each episode lasted for approximately five minutes plus commercials. Cool Zone consisted of numerous segments per episode but usually a consistent subject matter and shoot location. The program first aired in August 2005 with C31 commissioning a first season run of 24 episodes. Despite a cult following the program was axed after just four weeks and replaced by repeats of the SA Sports Show. Several Australian commercial networks expressed interest in picking up Cool Zone in 2006 but could not reach agreement with M-Cool.

Three Men of the City is a 1974 Australian TV series about a corporate battle. It was followed in 1975 by the series The Company Men.

Waterloo Station is an Australian television series produced by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Nine Network in 1983. The cast included Ron Graham, Sally Tayler, Danny Roberts, John Bonney, Jenny Ludlam, Bartholomew John, Steven Grives and Andrew Clarke. Waterloo Station was an attempt by Grundy's to reproduce for Channel Nine the success of their earlier shows The Restless Years and The Young Doctors which focused on youth situations. And like Crawford Productions' successful police series Cop Shop, Waterloo Station combined police procedural and domestic storylines involving the police personnel and their families. Waterloo Station focused on two sisters, both married to policemen, and their adult children starting careers in the police force. The main locations were a police station, a police training academy in Sydney, and a large boarding house that provided accommodation for several characters. The series was programmed against the popular new series Carson's Law in key markets including Melbourne, and achieved only mediocre ratings. It was cancelled after 52 episodes. Andrew Clarke, Danny Roberts and Sally Tayler all subsequently found greater success as regular cast members of another Grundy produced soap opera, Sons and Daughters.

One Week at a Time was an Australian Football League analysis show on One at 9.30pm AEST on Monday nights throughout the AFL season. It looked at the latest news, drama and issues concerning the AFL. It featured a panel of host Stephen Quartermain and former players Robert Walls and Luke Darcy. A special guest would sit on the panel for half the length of the show to be interviewed by and discuss prominent issues with the three presenters. The show also presented weekly nominees for the AFL's Mark of the Year and Goal of the Year awards. In 2011, an NRL version of the same name premiered on One. However, in September 2011, David Knox of TV Tonight announced that this version of the show will be axed due to poor ratings. It was announced in early 2012 that due to Network Ten losing the rights to broadcasting the AFL from that season onwards One Week at a Time would be axed.

Challenger was an Australian children's game show that aired on the Nine Network in 1997 and 1998. The first host was Diarmid Heidenreich famous for playing Dougie the pizza delivery guy in the Pizza Hut commercials in the mid-1990s. After he left the show in early 1998 he was replaced by hosts Adrian DeVito and Zoe Sheridan. Adrian DeVito and Zoe Sheridan continued to film 265 episodes before the show was superseeded with a return of Now You See It.

Midnight Zoo was an Australian late-night interactive game show broadcast in parts of Australia on the Seven Network. Midnight Zoo debuted on 31 July 2006 and was broadcast from Sydney. It was shown live throughout Victoria and in the capital cities of Sydney and Brisbane, and ran from 12:30 am to 2:00 am Weekday mornings. The final airing of the show was on 21 October 2006. The show was hosted by Steven O'Donnell, Angie Richards and Charlotte Connell.

Australia Wide was a rural-focused half-hour soft news programme produced by the ABC in Sydney. The programme was, up until mid-2007, produced by the Corporation's New Media and Digital Services division in Brisbane. It was shown weekdays on the digital-only channel ABC2 at 4.00pm, 7.00pm, and 7.30am, and can also be viewed at ABC Online. The program follows a daily theme covering a range of topics and issues. Earth Works, shown on Mondays, focusses on the 'real world' and environment, Gen Next, shown on Tuesdays concentrates on the interests and issues of young people, especially those in rural areas. On Wednesdays the five winners of the 2005 "Video Lives" competition present video diaries of their lives and communities, while on Thursdays Arts About showcases the artistic talents and endeavours of Australians living in rural and regional areas. Outta Here on Fridays follows sport and recreational activities. Content for the program comes from a number of sources, including reports from state and territory ABC News bulletins, reports from programs on the Australia Network, and ABC Local Radio presenters. Over summer, Australia Wide Summertime screens 10 minutes of news and weather and replaces the second section with short documentaries from a variety of sources, shown only on ABC2.

The Steph Show is an Australian reality television series based on singer/actress Stephanie McIntosh. This show premiered on Australian TV at 6pm 28 July 2006 on Network Ten. The show, in the same vein as The Ashlee Simpson Show, had cameras following McIntosh as she recorded her debut album Tightrope which was released on 9 September 2006. The first single "Mistake" was released the day after the season premiere. The theme song is "Tightrope" by Stephanie McIntosh. The last episode is to coincide with the release of "Tightrope". The final show was aired on 15 September 2006. The finale included McIntosh shooting the music video for "Tightrope".

Hadley! was a short lived Australian talk show which aired on the Australian subscription television news channel Sky News Australia and was hosted by commentator Ray Hadley who discussed current political and social issues with guests. The program premiered on 16 November 2010 and lasted for four episodes. The program was broadcast live across the country from Sky News' Sydney studio in Macquarie Park and aired Wednesday evenings between 8:15 and 9:00 pm. The format of the program consisted of a brief introduction by Hadley followed by an interview with a current federal politician. This was followed by the segment 'thumbs up or thumps down' where Hadley and one of his guests, usually a journalist, posed pre-written questions to each other where they either agreed or disagreed. The final segment consisted of Hadley and either one of two panellists discussing political and general issues. The show closed with a parody song recorded by the Robertson Brothers. Hadley resigned from Sky News Australia on the eve of program returning in 2011 reportedly due to 'differences' and staff not wanting to work with him.

whatUwant is an Australian music video request television show that aired daily on Channel [V]. whatUwant first aired in April 2002, and broadcast over 1500 episodes until Foxtel has revealed that the show will close with a final goodbye on 7 November 2008. Directed by Bernie Zelvis, past hosts of whatUwant included Yumi Stynes, Australian Idol hosts Andrew G and James Mathison, James Kerley, and the show's final line-up of hosts - Renee Bargh, Danny Clayton and Jane Gazzo.
