«Marerittet» is a Norwegian-Swedish drama-thriller series. Nils (Tomas von Brömssen) and Eva Lind (Kjersti Holmen) are a married couple whose mountain trek in Northern Norway goes awry. After Nils injures his foot, they descend into a remote fishing village in Lofoten. Though the setting appears idyllic, its inhabitants are cold and hostile. As tensions escalate, unsettling events reveal that sinister forces may be at play beneath the surface. It was filmed in Vestvågøya in the Lofoten Islands in Norway during the Summer of 1989.

Live from Her Majesty's was a Sunday night live variety show which was produced by London Weekend Television for the ITV network and ran from 1982 to 1988. It was broadcast live from Her Majesty's Theatre in London and was very much in the tradition of earlier variety spectacles such as Sunday Night at the London Palladium. The series was presented by Jimmy Tarbuck, produced by the then Head of Light Entertainment at LWT David Bell and directed by Alasdair Macmillan. In its day, the programme attracted a large audience and regularly featured in the TV top ten. A further series of six shows followed in 1986 from London's Piccadilly Theatre, airing simply as Live From the Piccadilly. 1987 witnessed yet another change of venue with a further three series airing as Live From the Palladium until the programme's eventual cancellation in 1988. During the 15 April 1984 show, comedian Tommy Cooper died after suffering a massive heart attack with the audience thinking that it was a joke.

Bellamy is an Australian television series made by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Ten Network in 1981. The series focused on a maverick cop named Steve Bellamy. His partner was Detective Mitchell. Recurring characters in the series were the disapproving Daley who appeared in 21 episodes, the forensics technician Clem who was in 15 of the episodes. Adam Garnett as Ginger, a street-wise child who befriended Bellamy, appeared in six early episodes but was phased-out of the series. Later in the run Tom Richards appeared as Detective Burns over five episodes. In the story Burns was ultimately revealed to be corrupt. The series was noticeably more violent than previous Australian police series such as those made by Crawford Productions during the 1970s. Bellamy attracted only mediocre ratings and was shifted around the schedules several times. The series was not renewed beyond the initial series of 26 one-hour episodes.

Elsie Beecroft is a middle-aged, middle-class office administrator in a printing firm. Her world is perfectly ordered until young working-class Sharon Wilkes is hired as the new office secretary. Initially prone to be snobbish, Elsie soon learns to appreciate Sharon and the two become friends. Many episodes revolve around the family life of either Sharon or Elsie, with Sharon's brother Elvis, her boyfriend Wayne, and Elsie's husband Roland making regular appearances. Factory scenes would usually involve lecherous floor manager Stanley Crabtree and Sharon and Elsie's prickly responses to his womanising. Grumpy tea lady Ivy would also make appear regularly.

Bea Arthur starred as the main character, Amanda Cartwright. Amanda was the owner of a seaside hotel called "Amanda's by the Sea" whose staff included her son Marty, his spoiled wife Arlene, Earl the chef and Aldo the bellhop. This was Bea Arthur's first return to series television since Maude ended in 1978. Other stars appearing on Amanda's included Jerry Stiller, Leonard Stone and Todd Susman. The show was filmed in front of a live studio audience at ABC Studios, 4151 Prospect Avenue in Hollywood, California. Amanda's was cancelled in May 1983 after a four-month run of ten episodes, three more episodes remaining unaired by ABC. A&E network broadcast reruns of the show shortly thereafter.
