Ryan was an Australian adventure television series screened by the Seven Network from 27 May 1973. The series was produced by Crawford Productions and had a run of 39 one hour episodes. The title character was a dashing private investigator played by Rod Mullinar. Ryan's assistant was played by New Zealand-born actor Pamela Stephenson, soon to leave for England and a successful television career. Other regular characters were Tony Angelini, a taxi driver and Ryan's regular informant, while Detective Cullen was Ryan’s main liaison with the police force. Ryan was shot entirely on film and in colour with an eye to potential international sales. An initial sale of 39 episodes to the Seven Network recouped only 55% of the series' relatively high production costs. An international sale was therefore crucial to the show's continued feasibility.

The Bass Player and the Blonde was a television play in the ITV Playhouse series, first broadcast 14 June 1977. It was followed up with a three-part serial with the episodes given the names of musical terms: Rondo, Allegro, and Andante. In the play and the series, George Manghan, a middle aged, debt ridden bass player in a Jazz band, falls in love with the wealthy and much younger blonde singer Terry, much to the distress of her father.

A reporter with a nose for a big story accompanies him, Gustav becomes famous, returns to Berlin in triumph and, having become a gentle and approachable person, reconciles with his family.

Pretenders was a 13 episode British television series produced by Harlech Television in the UK in February 1972 on ITV. Pretenders was filmed in Somerset, England and Wales. The 13-part historical adventure series with a factual background starring Frederick Jaeger as a German mercenary who assists Elam, a boy who believes he is the illegitimate son of The Duke Of Monmouth, who in turn is the illegitimate son of Charles ll, and therefore claims to be rightful heir to the throne. The series followed their various adventures, leading up to the climactic battle of Sedgemoor, the last battle on English soil.

Loriot is a classic German comedy television series produced by Radio Bremen from 1976 to 1978. Each of the six episodes (numbered with Roman numerals I–VI) featured sketches and cartoons by and with Loriot . Some of these achieved cult status. In the 1990s, the short films were re-edited into 14 programs of 25 minutes each, supplemented by works from other television programs featuring Loriot. In October 2007, the six episodes were released in largely their original order and length on the DVD box set Loriot – The Complete Television Edition .

A Class by Himself was a British sitcom, which aired from 1971 to 1972. The half-hour series was made by Harlech Television and starred John Le Mesurier of Dad's Army fame as Lord Bleasham.
