Fight Science is a television program shown on the National Geographic Channel in which scientists and martial arts masters work together to analyze the world's fighting techniques, to compare the disciplines and to find out which one has the strongest hits, kicks and deadliest weapons. The show also tries to prove through science if certain legends in fighting are possible, such as whether a one-punch knockout is possible or if ninja are as nimble and deadly as stories tell. Master of Champions is a show which began airing June 22, 2006 on ABC. The show format was based on a Nippon Television original series entitled World Records. The show was reformatted and produced in the United States by Y27 Entertainment for ABC. The show was hosted by Chris Leary and the co-host was ex-Playboy Playmate Lisa Dergan. The panel of Champions was made of up of baseball legend Steve Garvey, Olympic Gold Medalist for ice skating Oksana Baiul, and Olympic Gold Medalist for skiing Jonny Moseley. Each week the six contestants compete in unusual skills two at a time. If they compete in the same skill, the one that performed the best is the winner; if they have different skills, the studio audience decides the winner. At the end of the show, the three celebrity judges decide which of the three winners is given the title of Master of Champions and a trophy that is added to the "Wall of Masters". The show was cancelled on July 20, 2006.

Next Caller is an unaired American television comedy series that was scheduled to premiere mid-season on NBC as part of the 2012–13 television schedule. The network placed a series order in May 2012. Season one was set to feature seven half-hour episodes. On October 12, 2012, NBC announced the cancellation of the series after only four episodes had been filmed, citing creative differences with star Dane Cook, and that the filmed episodes would not be aired. It became the second series of the 2012–13 television season to be canceled, after Made in Jersey.

Surviving Suburbia is an American sitcom starring Bob Saget and Cynthia Stevenson that aired on American Broadcasting Company from April 6 to August 7, 2009. The series originally aired at 9:30 PM Eastern/8:30 PM Central following Dancing with the Stars, before moving to Fridays at 8:30 PM Eastern/7:30 PM Central for its remaining episodes. The Spike Guys' Choice Awards is an awards show produced by the Viacom cable channel Spike and held since 2007. It is patterned after Viacom's MTV Movie Awards. The winners are chosen based on voting by fans and viewers of the channel. The trophy for the award is a golden pair of antlers on a wooden pedestal, which is to symbolize the stag which is often associated with masculinity.

Stunt Junkies is a Discovery Channel television series that presents professional athletes performing dangerous stunts. The show demonstrates all the steps the athlete must do to successfully complete the stunt. The series spanned 2 seasons totaling 43 episodes. The first 13 episodes are hosted by Jeb Corliss. Corliss was dismissed in the summer of 2006 after being arrested for attempting to BASE jump from the observation deck of the Empire State Building in New York City. The second season and next 30 episodes are hosted by Eli Thompson, a World Champion Skydiver with over 15,000 skydives including the opening aerial stunt for Austin Powers III "Goldmember". Stunt Junkies was created and Executive Produced by Jordan G. Stone and produced by CBS Eye Too Productions. Stunt Junkies shows such stunts as Bob Burnquist 50-50 a rail over, then BASE jumping to the bottom, and a man trying to backflip a Ski-Doo on a wave. TMBA, a New York City animation studio, created 3D animations of the "physics behind the stunts", designed to explain the science behind each stunt. Motion graphics were layered on top of 3D re-creations of each event, allowing producers to highlight the riskiest aspects of each stunt.

How's Your News? is an American television series and also a feature film. It aired Sundays on MTV in the United States, and the feature film based on the same concept was released in 2003. It stars a group of reporters with developmental disabilities who interview celebrities and politicians. It is the continuation of a documentary film project started in 1999 by Arthur Bradford at Camp Jabberwocky in Martha's Vineyard, which was made into a movie of the same name and shown on HBO in 2003. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone serve as the show's executive producers. Season One had a total of 6 episodes. According to the "How's Your News?" website on April 9, 2009, the show has not been renewed for a second season on MTV, stating: "The decision had little to do with the quality of the series, which was one of the most enthusiastically received and best reviewed programs on mtv this year. It’s just a tough financial time and mtv needed to keep pushing for higher ratings with other shows. Also, we always knew that our series was an unusual fit for their style of programming. We’re not “The Hills” or “America’s Next Best Dance Crew” after all…" After completing the feature film for HBO, the concept was pitched to the Trio network, who subsequently backed the short film "On the Campaign Trail", about the How's Your News? teams trip to both the Democratic and Republican conventions in 2004. The half hour film was broadcast on Trio and Channel Four England and featured candid interviews with Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Andre 3000, Ben Affleck, Howard Dean, Michael Moore and Newt Gingrich, amongst others. Although it was rarely seen, this half hour documentary was well reviewed and helped convince MTV of the viability of the concept as mainstream TV series. They funded a pilot in 2006.
