Malice Aforethought is a four-part 1979 BBC Two miniseries by Philip Mackie, adapted from Anthony Berkeley Cox's (pen name Francis Iles) 1931 noir novel of the same name. "Operation Valkyrie" was the name of an official alarm plan during the Second World War. With the help of this plan, the conspirators around Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg wanted to bring about the overthrow of Germany on July 20, 1944. The events are well known: Stauffenberg's assassination attempt failed, Adolf Hitler remained alive. In addition to the purely scenic reconstruction, this two-part, documentary-style film consists of interspersed interviews and reports with eyewitnesses and survivors who were directly involved. Everything that is available in the way of authentic testimony about July 20, 1944 is examined and documented with the highest degree of realism.

The Red Hand Gang is an American live-action Saturday morning television series on NBC, first broadcast in 1977. The show featured five crime-solving pre-teens and their dog, who lived in the inner city. The group was so named because its members left red hand prints on fences to mark where they had been.

Am Dam Des is a Children television series produced at the ORF studios in Vienna, Austria between 1975 and 1993. This live-action show was presented as 25 minute episodes with an educational theme and different sections, hosted by Bernadette Schneider. She entertained children with poetry, stories, arts and crafts and various games. Bernadette had many recurring guests including Habakuk the Clown played by Arminio Rothstein, Mimi the Goose, a magician and Enrico the Clown played by Heinz Zuber.

The View from Daniel Pike is a 1971–73 Scottish TV drama series created and written by Edward Boyd, and starring Roddy McMillan as Daniel Pike, a hard-boiled private detective based in Glasgow. A few of the stories were later adapted into book form.

A late-'70s attempt to revive the classic comedy show, minus (among others) original hosts Rowan and Martin. It didn't fare well, but is noteworthy for one of its bit players: a then-unknown Robin Williams. He would soon become a star with `Mork & Mindy.'

The Missiles of October is a 1974 docudrama made-for-television play about the Cuban missile crisis. The title evokes the book The Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman about the missteps among the great powers and the failed chances to give an opponent a graceful way out, which led to the First World War. The teleplay introduced William Devane as John F. Kennedy and cast Martin Sheen as United States Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. The script is based on Robert Kennedy's book Thirteen Days: A Memoir of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The story is set in Victorian England and revolves around two young men, Allan Armadale and Ozias Midwinter, who are connected by their fathers' dark past. Both fall in love with Lydia Gwilt, the mysterious woman with the red scarf, who has her own sinister plans.

Aristocrat Robin Seacroft lives carefree with his wife Phyllida, and their children Gareth and Davina, but all of this changes when he goes shooting with his father, the aged Lord Seacroft, who leaves his gun unattended. A curious rabbit sets off the gun and bang goes the former Lord Seacroft. Robin inherits his late father's title, but precious little else.

A quintessentially British comedy-of-manners. Based at the fictional Yeovil College of Lifemanship, Richard Briers plays Stephen Potter and is joined by Peter Jones as the snooty Gatling-Fenn and Frederick Jaeger, complete with monocle, playing Cogg-Willoughby. "The world is divided into two types of people," Potter says, "winners and losers, the one-up and the one-down. He who is not one-up is surely one-down".

W.E.B. is an American TV series that aired for less than a month on NBC in 1978.

They are living their lives with their large and small conflicts, with different intentions, and yet remain connected always.

Hard Times is a four-part British television drama miniseries based on Charles Dickens' 1854 novel of the same name, a survey of English society and a satirisation of 19th century social and economic conditions. Wealthy, retired Coketown merchant Thomas Gradgrind devotes his life to a philosophy of rationalism, self-interest, and fact. He raises his eldest children, Louisa and Tom, according to this philosophy and never allows them to engage in fanciful or imaginative pursuits.

Loriot is a classic German comedy television series produced by Radio Bremen from 1976 to 1978. Each of the six episodes (numbered with Roman numerals I–VI) featured sketches and cartoons by and with Loriot . Some of these achieved cult status. In the 1990s, the short films were re-edited into 14 programs of 25 minutes each, supplemented by works from other television programs featuring Loriot. In October 2007, the six episodes were released in largely their original order and length on the DVD box set Loriot – The Complete Television Edition .

It was produced and directed by Eric Prytherch for Granada Television and broadcast on ITV between 1976 and 1977. The series ran for 2 series and 13 episodes in total before its cancellation.

Sanford Arms is an American sitcom that aired from September to October 1977 on NBC. The series is an attempted continuation of the sitcom Sanford and Son. After six seasons, Redd Foxx left Sanford and Son to star in a variety show for ABC. The producers planned to continue the series with Demond Wilson as Lamont, but Wilson left the project in a dispute over his expected salary as the star of the series. The producers decided to continue the project with a new character. Norman Lear stepped down from his position as executive producer but stayed on as a consultant.
