Mio Mao, also known as Mio and Mao, is an Italian-British children's TV show produced by Misseri Studios, HiT Entertainment & Mad Mouse Productions, L+H Films, Cartoonito and Channel 5. The series was produced using Claymation animation. The first series of Mio Mao was aired from 1974 to 1976. New episodes were produced in late 2005 in association with Channel 5, followed by yet another series of episodes in 2009. The music was composed by Piero Barbetti. In the U.K., the episodes are narrated by Derek Griffiths and shown on Channel 5, and its sister channel, 5*. Although occasional episodes are listed separately in TV guides, many are also shown as part of Channel 5's Milkshake programme and Tiny Pop and Cartoonito. The show is now available through the Demand 5 online viewing service. In 1993, the program was shown in the UK. on Channel 4's early morning Take 5 line-up. Currently the episodes are shown in the US on the BabyFirstTV and BabyTV channel.

Chorlton and the Wheelies is an animated children's television series that ran from September 1976 until June 1979 on British Television Channel. It followed the adventures of Chorlton, a fictional happiness dragon, in Wheelie World. Chorlton and the Wheelies was created by Cosgrove Hall for the ITV station Thames Television, and the eponymous lead character gets his name from the suburb of Manchester in which the Cosgrove Hall studio was based: the legend "Made in Chorlton-cum-Hardy" is found written on the inside of the egg from which he hatches in the very first episode of the series.

It first consisted of a match between teams from two German towns, except for the last matches, which were between five towns. The match was composed of several games. For each game the participants would typically dress up in costumes. Often the costumes were elaborate and designed to increase the challenge of the game by making movement awkward. Games were played against the clock, or as a race. Telematch was produced by Transtel. It was dubbed into English, Hindi, Arabic, French and Spanish. It was shown in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Venezuela, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Costa Rica, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Panama, Dominican Republic, Nigeria, Middle East, India, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Uruguay as well as in various South East Asian and Caribbean nations and probably other places as well. A total of 43 episodes were made before production was halted. In Spain between 1995 to 2007 TVE broadcast a show like Telematch called El Gran Prix del Verano with the same format. Currently, it is being shown again in Paraguay. Also, it is still being shown in India and receives a good viewership.

A variety of up-coming rock oriented bands were showcased live from small venues and broadcast simultaneously on television and radio during a 40-50 minute live performance. It was a follow-on to the mid-1960s BBC series Jazz Goes to College.

Edo wo Kiru (江戸を斬る) was a popular jidaigeki on Japan's TBS. It lasted through eight series, with several casts and settings.

Roobarb is a British animated children's television programme, originally shown on BBC1 just before the evening news. Each cartoon, written by Grange Calveley and animated by Bob Godfrey, was about five minutes long. Thirty episodes were made, and the show was first shown on 21 October 1974. The theme is that of the friendly rivalry between Roobarb the green dog and Custard the pink cat from next door. The narration of the series was provided by the actor Richard Briers. On 18 February 2013, Briers died, followed four days later by animator Godfrey.

The Devil's Crown was a BBC limited series which dramatised the reigns of three medieval Kings of England: Henry II and his sons Richard the Lionheart and John. It was broadcast in thirteen 55-minute episodes between 30 April and 23 July 1978. Henry Plantagenet (latterly Henry II), sees his opportunity to seize the crown of England and create a kingdom of law and order. He cuts a deal with King Stephen in which Stephen will name him his heir, excluding his sons Eustace and William in exchange for a fragile truce. Stephen's sudden death elevates Henry to the throne. He may have been King of England, but the bulk of the Angevin Empire was in France, and it was this that Henry regarded as the Jewel in his Crown, maintained through a series of political marriages and complex allegiances. Henry pays homage to Louis VII, King of the Franks, for these lands, but it is clear that Henry is the shrewder and more ambitious of the two kings, having married Louis' ex-wife Eleanor of Aquitaine.

George was a Swiss-Canadian television series which aired on CTV on Thursday evenings in 1972-73. The series was based on the 1971 film George!, about the adventures of a St. Bernard dog and his owner who live in Switzerland. Marshall Thompson starred in both the film and the resulting half-hour series. The series made its CTV debut in a Thursday evening time slot on 16 September 1972. However, George ended in 1973 after its only season. The Globe and Mail's Blaik Kirby considered the program to be "abysmal". Despite its short run and mixed critical reaction, the series was rerun on CTV affiliates for years afterwards, usually to fill Saturday morning schedules.
